We had a late lunch on a Sunday at this restaurant, no reservation but no problem, it wasn't busy. Grabbed a table outside and ordered couple of Malbecs. Our waiter was very nice, the food was outstanding. We shared several entradas: empanadas de chorizo y...carne, tongue, and chorizo and morcilla. Everything was so delicious, the wine was very good as well. Finished off with a flan and couple of macchiatos. Very good food, wine, service, location. Highly recommendable!More

I went there with my wife and two friends we met while travelling and honestly loved every bit of it. Our waiter, José, was the perfect host. Jovial and informed he was very attentive and always available to top up our wine (which was delicious!)....The food was the main event though. Every item on the menu must be delicious as we all had different starters and different mains and they were all stupendous. Presented well, perfectly seasoned, perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting authentic Argentinian cuisine with a Colombian take:)More

My first restaurant is Medellín and a high bar is set. Delightful service made for a fun dining experience. Started with Tarta de berenjeras, a savory eggplant custardy concoction in a superb pasty shell. On to Sorrentino de Salmon, squid ink raviolis with delicate salmon...filling and a choice of sauce (I went with Bolognese). Menu allows for ordering from various Argentinian regions. May have to return for the highly touted beef dishes.More

I have been dining in Medellin for 31 years during my travels to Latin America. This was the first time I felt like I was in a real Argentine restaurant outside of Argentina. If you want a great steak, good wine and good service Malevo...is the place. The owners are from Argentina and work in the restaurant. Malevo has been open for five years and I am sorry we waited so long. The provoleta on the grills was excellent, just like they do it in Argentina. I had the bife de lomo (tenderloin) and it was tender, tasty and cooked perfectly. I forgot to look but from the taste they have a non gas grill in their kitchen. My wife had the bife de chorizo and she said it was very good. They have a limited but good wine selection from low end to high. The Mendel Unus was outstanding. It is a blend of Cabernet Sav., Malbec and a touch of Cabernet Franc. Very smooth and worth the price. They bring your steak to the table on a hot grill and then place it on your plate still sizzling. Also, their french fries are FRESH not frozen. Hard to find this feature today. I highly recommend Malevo and can't wait for my next trip to Medellin. It will be the first restaurant we visit.More

I had the Tenderloin Steak, paired with an Argentine Malbec. Very modest prices, hospitable service and pleasant ambiance.

We wanted a good steak restaurant in Medellin and chose Malevo based on reviews. It was wonderful! It's in an upscale area of restaurants and the atmosphere is great. Our waiter helped us choose just the right wine and our steaks (flank and rib eye)...were delicious. There was nothing I wouldn't rate as excellent about this restaurant - we're so glad we chose it!More

I absolutely love Argentinian food, but I’m always a little worried that the steak won’t be cooked to my liking. Well Restaurante Malevo exceeded my expectations. I went while visiting Medellin with my fiancé and we both ordered the Ojo de bife (ribeye) and the...temperature was perfectly medium rare. It was a quality steak that wasn’t gushing blood all over my plate. Juan José was our server and he was exceptional. Such great service. We ordered 2 glasses of the Bodegas Malbec he recommended and ended up ordering 2 more! Definitely try the Chinchulines as a starter. They’re not too salty and perfectly crispy. Oh and you get 10% off the bill if you pay in cash! If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Argentinian food in Medellin plus really great service, check out Restaurante Malevo.More

You can do both. Sometimes maybe you have to wait. I rather would book ahead to be sure that I do get a table. Keep in mind that you get a discount when you pay cash. Cheers Silvio
