The design of this restaurant wouldn’t look out of place in Milan, a beautiful space, very tranquil . I had the prawn linguine, which was good although the prawns were a little tasteless, probably frozen. The pasta itself was perfectly cooked and it came with...More

Vera is the restaurant of the swanky Tcherassi Hotel, in Cartagena old town. The place is really pretty and luxurious. Unfortunately, the food doesn't match the surrounding. Our dishes were either too salty or not not enough. The tiramisu was definetely sub standard. We had...More

This restaurant is located in a nice hotel and is a little oasis once you enter. There is a lovely waterfall feature and wall of greenery juxtaposed with a glass bar and dining area. We had excellent cocktails here the first night in town (try...More

Probably one of the most upscale restaurants in town, with a wonderful ambiance and quick, friendly service. My family of 5 dropped in for dinner, and had an overall enjoyable meal, but: the scallops pasta was overcooked and not very tasty. Hopefully a bad night...More

We arrived at the restaurant early to have a pre-dinner cocktail. In our group the women wore dresses, the men wore button down collared shirts and dress pants, and because of our limited travel attire we all wore leather flip flops. We went to the...More

Basic bottle of white 100$ Canadian. Ridicolous. Fettuccine was so oily and bland. My friends risotto was very plain. Waste of time and money.

The place is charming and beautiful but that's it. The food is average and extremely overpriced. There are far better options (and equally fancy) in the old city for half the price.

This is not a "cantina" style italian restaurant. It is higher end with delicate dishes. Nice atmosphere and nice decor. I thought the service was very average for this type of restaurant. Our waiter didn't explain much clearly seeing that some things we did not...More

We stumbled upon Restaurante Vera - and how lucky we were. I think the cuisine is nouveau Italian - and it was certainly one of our better dinners in Cartagena. Make sure to request to be seated in the air-conditioned room. Waiter Edwin Vasquez is...More

If you feel like Italian food in Cartagena, this is the place. Nice atmosphere, food was served with a smile and tasted accordingly well.

Description
Chef Daniel Castano of Bogota’s Emilia Romagna restaurant brings his authentic Italian coastal cuisine to VERA, a 50-seat restaurant and lounge set within The Tcherassi Hotel’s historic colonial mansion and interior lush garden. Indoors, the restored, original 250 year old stone wall stretches from the imported Australian floor up to the distinuished wood ceiling and beams made from rescued Colombian Guayacan and Ceiba. Modern mirrors adorn the backlit wall in a unique contrast that reflects the activity throughout the space and brings the outside in with vivid reflections of the lush garden waiting outside. Dress Code is casual elegant; men have to wear long trousers and collar shirt
