We really liked the restaurant from outside and also from inside as we entered. English menu was plus as well. As I have a very strong gluten allergy, I have discussed thoroughly soup ingredients with the service and was assured there is no wheat at all in the soup. Tasted what I was served already have first signs of allergy.... More

Would go back. Lovely pre-dinner drinks. Good wine list. Great starters. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service although it got a bit slow & muddled the night we were there so I drank a little bit too much & don't remember my main course very well which they got mixed up and it came overcooked. But my husband liked his. Has the... More

YUM! I can't rave about those berry sours enough. They are delicious! My friend also enjoyed his Basil Sour. As a group, we were pleased with our meals. The prices are high, but the meals are intricate combinations of ingredients. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff was very friendly. It's cash only, so be prepared for that.

If you are looking for a different food experience in Punta Arenas, this is definitively your place to come! The restaurant has a really lovely atmosphere, very colorful, a little bit Kitsch and certainly cozy, with lots of local elements for decorative purposes. The place is very illuminated and fresh, which makes a great experience. To start, I ordered a... More

The food ranges from average to fairly good but La Marmita isn't what you'd call a top-notch culinary experience. However, the decor and atmosphere are fun, the cocktails are good and the staff are friendly, and it is those factors on which the restaurant scores most highly. If you want to sample some local game, try the guanaco or rabbit... More

we were recommended to this restaurant from Hotel Ilaia and we're glad we went. a great surprise. the food is surprisingly sofisticated. it's not cheap and as i remember it was cash only, but it's good value. it's a place you should make reservations for if you can because it does get busy. we enjoyed sitting there for a while... There are many good restaurants in Punta Arenas. Most are fairly heavy meals because of the colder climate. Marmita distinguishes itself by adding a bit of fresh herbs as well as having great presentation. They have a few vegetarian options as well, more than most places around. The services is wonderful and very helpful. It is a cute and colorful... More

Worth the walk to find it. Fantastic food. Good service. Interesting antique objects in restaurants, full of character. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended.
