Just off the crowded noisy Pub Street down a "lane" (which really is a thoroughfare through cafes) we found this nice restaurant. The owner, a young Italian chap, offered us a table although we had no reservation (recommend you do this). This was followed by...More

Just Italian menu. We had pizza. My wife enjoyed hers, as it was just cheese pizza. I ordered one with 4 ingredients, including artichoke. Every ingredient was in a different quarter of the pizza, not all scattered evenly. I had to move everything so that...More

Spotted the sign for this place and was pleasantly surprised to see.it crammed. The owner was kind enough to find us a table even tho they were fully booked. Pizza was quick, delicious crispy base and perfect toppings. Fantastic place!

We loved this place and went back on numerous occasions after so much Cambodian food. Downfall the waiter coming out out in front of a group of 20 people and saying to the leader of the group- sorry this is your 5th white wine I...More

Like other reviewers we came here when we were in need of a break from the south east Asian cuisine (delicious though it is) and it was just what we'd hoped for - tasty, well made pizza and lasagne (proper oven baked lasagne, not a...More

Located down a small alley, just off Pub Street, Il Forno is a nice find for tourists or expats alike looking for a more traditional Neapolitan style pizza. Offering a selection of Italian favorites like Marinara, Margherita, Salame and Quatro Formaggi. To me what makes...More

Description
We created Il Forno in 2011 after many years dreaming of opening a traditional Italian Restaurant outside Italy where we would serve authentic Italian food like our grandmothers used to cook. The only addition to our grandmother's kitchen was the building of an original stone brick fire wood oven from where to make pizzas according to the southern italian tradition. We pride to import every single ingredient ( veggie & fruits aside)on our menu directly from Italy and to make all our food home made and fresh daily. Our fantastic team of chefs/cooks start their day very early to prepare our pizza dough that need 10/12 hours before its naturally risen and to prepare home made tagliatelle, tortellini , gnocchi and so on , exactly like we used to in Italy half a century ago.
