We have ordered a pizza and gnocchi and both tasted great. It is not a cheap place but worth a visit.

We wanted a change from Cambodian cuisine so decided to go for what was described to us as the best pizza in town. We had a 4 Formaggi pizza and one with Scamorza cheese and Italian sausage. The pizzas were ok but lacked a bit...More

This is a lovely stylish restaurant near Pub Street. Although it is close to the madness that is Pub Street it is a calm and peaceful setting. It is a long established restaurant ( we had visited five years earlier!) With a good selection of...More

I wrote my first review for Il Forno about 6 months ago, but felt the need add some much needed information. In my first review I decided to skip the steak, because the fillet looked small and not very tender. So I had their excellent...More

I love this place as their pizza has never changed the taste. I tried a couple years ago and I had the same time when I went down to pub-street a month ago. Very enjoyable experience

If you're looking for a respite from local dishes and don't want to hit up KFC or BK, Il Forno is a solid choice. Friendly staff and well-presented dishes with something for everyone. Portions are adequate, though a little light on protein. Probably worth making...More

We had the charcuterie plate and then pasta. A bottle of wine washed it down. All was very good and the staff were good fun speaking excellent English. It was a most pleasant and fun evening.

Description
We created Il Forno in 2011 after many years dreaming of opening a traditional Italian Restaurant outside Italy where we would serve authentic Italian food like our grandmothers used to cook. The only addition to our grandmother's kitchen was the building of an original stone brick fire wood oven from where to make pizzas according to the southern italian tradition. We pride to import every single ingredient ( veggie & fruits aside)on our menu directly from Italy and to make all our food home made and fresh daily. Our fantastic team of chefs/cooks start their day very early to prepare our pizza dough that need 10/12 hours before its naturally risen and to prepare home made tagliatelle, tortellini , gnocchi and so on , exactly like we used to in Italy half a century ago.
