Sorry to say but very disappointed. Booked a table for 2 on the same day (Wednesday) at 9.30, GF birthday. Coya insisted for credit card deposit and 150 AED no show fee ( a little unusual given it was only 2 people and Wednesday night),...ok.. I show up in time but no table available…. So what we do? (I suppose they should have given me 150 AED to be fair..…) Wait a bit, then as if it was perfectly normal and without saying anything the hostess walks us not to the restaurant room, but to their lounge where people were smoking CIGARS and show us a lounge table (no dinner table). We rejected it and came back to the entrance. Wait a bit, eventually a table came out… (so there was a table afterall…). I realize that Covid social distancing rules are taking a tall on F&B businesses but personally I considered it a lack of respect. They didn’t say they were sorry, they didn’t offer a drink during the wait. Food was good, but when you go to a top level restaurant that charges top prices you expect “the experience” not this. Sorry to say. Customer trust lost.More

Unfortunately my experience was not what I expected. We arrived at 7:38pm and our reservation was at 7:30pm. After much looking at a screen and switching things around, we were escorted to a room as you enter on the right. Only one table was occupied...in what turned out to be a members room. No atmosfere, but we were told we could still have the “ Coya experience” there. Eventually half an hour late, and no explanation given, we were graced with a table at the main restaurant. By the time we ordered it was 8.30pm and food arrived all at once. True, it is for sharing but we had twelve different plates in one go at one stage. It was so obvious they wanted the table back by 9:30 as per our slot. We ate quickly and all party of three ended up with indigestion. Also one of our party was Coeliac and needs to eat gluten free which was acknowledged. However I was very sick and still am the day after, so not sure if the due care was taken in the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. Service is very average, we poured our own drinks and the table was left unattended for long periods of time. It could have been bad luck but I will not be returning. I will say that Amazonico ticked all the boxes instead and I have already made a new reservation there!More

I book last Thursday to celebrate my wife’s birthday. 2 tables for 12 people at 9:15 pm. I arrived 9:08 when my 2 tables were not yet ready. One table became ready at 09:23 where the manager told me that the other table still busy...and guests still having their dessert and will be ready within 10 minutes. It was ok as my friend still on the way as they were coming from Abu Dhabi. They arrived at 10 and we started ordering and enjoying the night, when suddenly a lady came telling me that I have to leave within 15 minutes before 11:15 pm. I told her that my main course not yet served and even we didn’t blow the candles for my wife’s birthday. She told me not our issue, we have to receive back both tables by 11:15. I illustrated that we received the tables 09:23-09:35, so at least give us more 15 minutes till we order the dessert and celebrate, she totally refused. I spoke to the manager that People before me left 15 -20 minutes late, so why taken from my time, he told me it was rude from them and can’t do nothing. I told them you ruined my wife’s day and I will leave but with a bad review when they started to bring the manager and asked me to order a dessert and they will serve it immediately where I totally refused asking for the bill to leave. Then he mentioned that there are few tables available where he can manage and give us sometime to celebrate. One the worst memories for my wife’s birthday celebrations, never repeated nor recommend it to anyone.More

Our friends and us have ordered a tasting menu (around 500 aed per person). There were 4 of us (2 couples). Guacamole was served first. To our surprise, only a single molcajete (the stone bowl) was served, with some guacamole in it. I jave asked...a waier why was only a single bowl was served, despite 2 couple orsering a set menu, and it was extremely inconvenient to move tue heavy bowl around the large table. Our complaint was noted, and another bowl was served. Cevice was served next, the fish was tasty, each couple was served individual tasting set of 3 ceviches. Next was fish with rice. Once again, we were shocked to have a single dish was served for all of us, basically a spoonful for each person. Next was meat and chicken skewers, one for each person. Then came the desert, each person got a serving of sorbet, and.... a single scoop of icecream and a single fondant cake to share between a couple. How can you share a tiny scoop of icecream, is beyond my imagination. Resume: Between the 2 of us (another couple had a separate cheque) we have spent AED 1800. For this amount, I would at least expect an individual taste of each dish. It seems like they were trying to save on ingredients, despite having the menu priced at a premium.More

One of the few remaining restaurants that serve Peruvian cuisine. Decor and ambience are very elegant and chic. Service is disjointed. Food is mixed. The starters are very good specially the tacos. But the main course was average. If you are here for the vibe...then this is a good place. But if you’re here for the food then there are other better places.More

Perfect food..... unintuitive service! So after you’ve introduced yourself to your first date and things are going well, don’t ask for more time to enjoy the last bit of your over priced desert! 2.30hrs that’s it.... they will reluctantly give us another 15 minutes to...wrap up... €750 for dinner fir two and they rush you out of the place... never again.... disgraceful..... ruined my first date because I stood my ground! Don’t support this bs!More

As a hospitality management student I have a lot to say. To start, the decor, food and service was excellent. The only bad thing and shocking was the limited time you have on the table, at the end of our schedule they asked us to...leave. I wouldn’t mind if the concept of the restaurant was more casual or not benchmarked as premium or fine dining restaurant. There should be a bit of more though when it comes to the concept, in regards to the turn tables. If you are a fine dining restaurant the turn tables should be lower than an average due that you are paying for this. In Coya they charge you for this fine dining service but still expect to have high turn of tables which is incompatible in my opinion, as a hospitality student and what I was taught if you have fine dining turning tables should be lower than an average restaurant.More

Yes - the manager also appears to pop by every table to ensure all guests are enjoying themselves. If you have any concerns call ahead to ensure you get a comfortable table.

Yes, I'm sure you could although, it is an adult type restaurant. Also, I believe they allow smoking at the bar, which is part of the restaurant.
