On a dubai winter night we visited the restaurant while enjoying the city walk with our family and chose this gem of a bistro ! They have a lot of options to choose from but here is the deal whatever you choose for sure it will have a relishing twist in the recipe plus the presentation will take away your heart and thats the bonus!! We were welcomed and greeted by Pratibha..and helped us beseated.we chose to be seated inside as we were accompanied by kids...the restaurant do have outside seating as well. chef Bilam chose mango flavoured bite sized amouse bouche !! And they were surely on pointe and quiet amusing for my kids as served with dry ice fumes. For starters we ordered Bombay Bhel which is not just another bombay bhel but everything homemade..sprouts..tamarind chutney.and brown shakkar..not sugar...u gotta try this.. Next was dal chawal arancini..which are rice and dal balls coated with bread crumbs and garnished with papdam..dont go on the name u will ask for more!! We also had Butter chicken Bao burgers..totally lipsmacking!! In mains Chermoula Crusted Paneer Tikka which is Barbequed fresh cottage cheese in a tomato gravy. Served with Kulcha..and CTM chicken tikka masala served with naan...trust me its a huge portion..for the cost, quality and presentation. For drinks we ordered Berry Blues mix berry and sprite ,Ananas Orbits is a molecular gastronomy for pinacolada and Sangria . All drinks were served and well explained by Prashant. We were totally full but not by heart. Phirni Oxide its a total show to have a dessert at this restaurant..the chef himself comes with flowing fumes of dry ice and then the presentation continues on the table..and you totally feel like a celebrity!! And then the taste fills your heart as well. Lastly Anish the manager came to ask if our dinner went well ? and we were more than thankful and delighted to have such an experience.. ALL the best to the team .will surely pass by soon for exploring more recipes..

Was really excited to visit this restaurant, service was slow, outdoor seating is nice more of a holiday atmosphere. Food is very well priced and affordable. I can see the need for reinventing here with lots of gimmicks on dishes such as dry ice and chicken tikka masala being carried out in a UK phone box (over the top). All that is ok but the flavours were bland and did not hit the high expectations of this place. Might try again as it could have been just a bad night.

From the moment our large, tired family set foot in Farzi Cafe’s Mall Of Emirates location (next to Vox Cinemas), we were treated as though we’ve come home. Astounding considering the volume of diners who pass through. It was iftaar time and very busy, yet somehow the service team managed to make us feel as though we’re the most important group in the place. I could see from the smiles and cheerful interactions at other tables, that they were making everyone feel that way. The manager, Ashish, is a perfect star. Our large group had literally worked its way through most of the enticing menu (each and every item was excellent, lots of satisfied moans happening throughout the meal. The mushroom pate is a MUST try) and we politely declined dessert as we were all so happily satiated. Asish insisted on us treating us to the charcoal jalebi dessert which was as delicious as it was intriguing. We would definitely return for it, as much as we would return for the entire 6-star experience Ashish and his team have created. And to do so in a mall environment, is truly hats-off commendable.

I've never loved City Walk and Dubai more than I did this day when i went here with my husband and children for iftar.❤😍 Due to the covid situation and the precautions we all are taking, we had not taken our children anywhere. But for a special day, our family went to citywalk and it was my best decision. The children could be themselves with social distancing, enjoy the train, and the Ramadan spirit. Since we like traditional Asian food, we decided to have iftar at Farzi Cafe. Really liked the affordable option of sharing menu of 4 course which was enough for my family. It had delicious taste, commendable service, exceptional food experience and proper SOPS followed. It was the BEST quality of food at any iftar I've had. My little one was fascinated by the "real smoke"coming from the plate and were in awe!! Their gastronomic experience will leave your children surprised and delighted! No wastage of taking excess food as well The masjid nearby the cafe added to the comfort as we could go offer our Salah on time after having the starters, and then return back to have the maincourse and dessert without having to miss our Salah. Love this part of citywalk and the cooperation of Farzi Cafe manager Mr Anish who was so accomodating. I had a wonderful time with my family and i will surely visit here again as this open space was loved by my children.

Went for an impromptu lunch, and was such a great experience. A cloudy day, outdoor seating and the pretty side streets of City Walk all added to make it a perfect outing. We shared three small plates as they are called, it was very filling. We had halloumi samosas, dal chawal arancini and chilli spiked beef kulcha. The presentation and the way the spices and different ingredients were brought together made it a feast for the eyes as well as the palette. Sadly had no room for dessert but definitely next time. And yes I’m definitely planning another visit soon.

I saw an article in a leading newspaper in UAE regarding 'all you can eat' breakfast at this restaurant in Mall of the Emirates, hence gave this place a try during the Eid holidays. I expected something like a buffet. The cloth seats were all stained and dirty. There was food debris on the chairs, and wasn't cleaned at opening for the day. Contrary to expectations, customers are expected to give a list of items from the set menu list as order, which would then be prepared. Was totally unaware of this fact, and no one took the effort to explain it to us. The food arrived half an hour after ordering. This was very surprising, as we arrived at the restaurant half an hour prior to opening, but were asked to wait. So it should have been expected that there would be a rush of customers right at opening time. The scrambled eggs were excessively salty, the mushrooms weren't sauteed, just boiled, and not salted. To top it all, I got a plate with hair in it. We complained and got the same dish again, but no apologies. They just behaved like nothing had happened at all, or that it is a common occurrence. We had ordered croissants, but had to remind them at the end to bring these. The tea wasn't hot, just warm. We do frequent restaurants which do breakfasts in the same mall, but this one is a total disappointment.

It was my first visit to this cafe. I would say it was a nice experience on the whole. You get a mini welcome dish. Starters were delicious. From main course the mutton with paratha and spicy prawns with lime rice , had the same masala , which was a little disappointing. Chicken jhol biryani with daal makhni was good. Lamb shank was good as well. Service was 8/10 . Overall experience was 7/10. Next time I would probably go for starters only.

The food and service here is very very good. As already described by others it is Indian with a twist or a fusion cuisine.... Order what sounds like a traditional Indian dish and you'll get something that looks very different however very tasty. I am keen to visit again to try some of the other menu options.

Let me first mention the reinvention of the classic meal Daal chawal called arincini. A must try. Tasty and beautifully served. Apart from that we ordered stuffed naan, biryani and chicken tikka masala with butter naans. Amazing taste and service from Mukesh. Next time I’m in Dubai, I’ll be back.

My previous visit was for dinner, it was a lively environment with music, lights & lot of people. This time's visit was for lunch, of course covid has brought in some changes but it seemed like the restaurant is under renovation, so a portion of it was blocked, there was limited space to dine, no music & dull ambience. Food was great though. The Paneer tak-a-tak, rajasthani kadhi & desi ratatouille with malai paneer were yummy & of good quantity. Maybe I should wait for few months before my next visit, to get the old experience.

Very interesting fusion concept. Many interesting dishes with tasty combinations of meat, sauces and sides. Not the typical Indian food but a lot of original creations, all beautifully served. Service is good and prices are reasonable. Worth trying if you are in or near the Mall of the Emirates.
