About
One of the oldest fish restaurants in Jeddah, this restaurant was founded in 1949. Much of the menu has remained the same over the years: delicious fried fish and seafood dishes served in huge portions, always with a smile. Favourites include the ever-changing catch of the day and Al Basali’s popular bakhamry: small pieces of fried bread, similar to a donut but not as sweet.

Very buzzy and small restaurant where you choose your own fish before it is cooked. They are friendly and some people there speak English. The fish comes with rice and fresh salads. We had one red snapper between the two of us and the whole meal was much too large for us. The food is very tasty though, and you definitely feel that you are in a real Saudi environment.

Wow , the freshest fish you can have in a restaurant and the style of cooking is so typical jeddah style and the flavors are so good you can't make any mistakes in this place

Fried Najil (tastiest fish in the red sea )
Spanish makril made in Tamarin Sauce
Fried and grilled shrimps
Grilled crab
The food and Everything was amazing, the servers were hospitable and nice, flavors and cooked to perfection. Location is perfect for when your walking in the Old Jeddah (alBalad) and you can have a great lunch then continue the tour because the whole area is a unesco world heritage site.
The owner himself is on watch and talking to all the customers and is so welcoming making sire everything is perfect
This was a great visit and I highly HIGHLY recommend this place
BTW the wall is full of celebrities who visited this place and they are even mentioned on YouTube of you want to check them out

Small restaurant in the heart of the old district. Specialises in Red Sea fish, both fried and grilled.
Service is good, owner is very friendly and checks up on the service at the table.
Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Some of the most delicious fish and shrimp I ever had! In the heart of Al Balad, one of my favourite places. I'm so happy to discover Al Basali seafood restaurant and will go back again soon. Simple, fresh food, well prepared and served. Fantastic!

Great spot in Jeddah old town, excellent fish. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant , it is a family local restaurant, very good very welcoming

The red spotted garoupa is the best. Fried calamari also well spiced. All seafood are fresh. Overall dish is top notch
