Place was full when we got in so we had drinks (Good ones by the way) in the patio at the back. After making sure the waitress had not forgotten us, we found her very smiling (Not a common feature with the Lao) and very efficient. The baked camembert was an original idea for these parts of the world but... More

Tangor looks great and has good food! The menu has limited choice but the dishes are tasty. However the desserts are insane, the first time in my life we( my son and i) ordered 2 times a dessert, we switched DELICIOUS ,tarte tartin(10+) and chocolate lava(10+)

Sisavangvong Road, one of the main streets in Luang Prabang, is not short on dining and drinking options, so choosing one spot for a night out was not exactly a no-brainer. But as I set my eyes on Tangor something clicked, and whatever images I had in my mind of Indochina seemed to materialize right away. It could very well... More

On the main drag and grossly over-rated. Loads of much better places to try - explore and be adventurous.

Tangor – Where to start The service from the Laotian waiter(s) was attentive, polite and genuinely welcoming. Tangor stands out amongst other restaurant on Sisavangvong and has that je ne sais quoi one seeks when walking by countless places to eat; it draws you in with its appeal and keeps you there with its food. Although not a high end... More

My wife and I popped in after seeing the menu on the street. What a find, attentive Frenchman behind the bar (may have been the owner) who looked after us. We had 4 starter dishes which were divine! The ceviche was so fresh, boa burger packed full of flavour, loved the red pesto and the chicken satay was top notch... More

Stopped in for drinks while sheltering from the rain. The restaurant was done up in a vaguely Chinoiserie style. The dark wood and low lighting imbued the place with a rather gritty quality. Seemed like a popular venue with tourists, queues started forming shortly after we arrived. The staff needed to be prompted for service but were pleasant. Prices for... More

Tangor looks cozy from the street, so my wife, my children 8 and 11 years old and I decided to get a snack at their open terrace upfront. While we were trying to organize a few empty tables we were quickly approached by a gentleman who didn't seem happy we were taking 2 tables of 2 for us 4, so... More

Stumbled upon this place on our first night in Luang Prabang and decided to check it out. I had not read any reviews so had no idea what to expect but all I can say was that the food, wine and atmosphere were excellent. I had the satay and Vietnamese beef salad and my wife the fish in coconut milk... More
