The setting is beautiful. Quiet and clean. But this review is about the cafe and not what nature provides them. For a place that is on the expensive side, and part of the also expensive Ock Pop Tock, the quality did not quite make the trip worth it. A simple coffee and brunch was a disappointment. The eggs benedict was... More

Dear Marinus, My apologies about your experience in our Silik Road Cafe. Even though we try to keep our prices low and manage to they stay under what you will find in most other non local restaurants in Luang Prabang, we are always proud of what we serve, and I can not figure what happened to your dish that makes... Was on a motorbike riding around Luang Prabang town towards the south (vehicles are in a one way direction, in a anti-clockwise direction when moving around the town) when I noticed the sign Ock Pop Tok Living Arts. Rode on the small gravel road towards the river side. Lovely weaving centre where the local women (from further down south on... More

We ended up spending there very long time as it was so comfortable to sit by the riverside terrace! The food was good and service great. It is really worth visiting even it's bit outside the town if you want to have bit more peaceful place to eat.

food was great and the setting is unbeatable: lovely patio overlooking the river with gorgeous decor. A bit out of the way, but the shop's shuttle will get you back and forth.

Fantastic restaurant in an absolutely beautiful setting with a view on the Mekong River. Very relaxing and well shaded environment to enjoy your meal surrounded by culture and textiles. The food is delicious and you can choose from Laotian dishes, western, and a few others in between. Don't miss the free tour of the Ock Pop Tok Living Arts Center!... More

Upon recommendation of the hotel we were in, drove to Silk Road Cafe to check their hand woven products. The place is one and the same as Ock Pop Tok and we were glad to have visited. Aside from the menu, there were a lot of traditional items on display. We had a nice time observing the local weavers doing... More

Jan 27 This resto is a convenient stop for lunch before continuing on to the Kuang Si Waterfall.
