We were a bit put off by how empty the restaurant was, but the nearby restaurant we wanted to go was full. We got a table by the river and the food was absolutely amazing! The sour fish soup was really good, the fish was fresh and tender. The curry was good and the smoked fish starter was very delicious.... More

Three of us came here for dinner last week and were positively impressed by both the food and the service. We started with appetizers and were impressed by the subtle flavours of both the spicy eggplant and the wild mushrooms. For the main course, two of us had the buffalo cheeks - which were so tender and lovely, that it... More

We were in Luang Prabang for three days and ate at a different restaurant for every meal. We did not find one that we would go back to and on our last night, we ate at the Apsara and it was the best meal we had. The dishes had the Asian flavors with a modern twist and broke up the... More

I have had several lunches and dinners here and consider The Apsara restaurant a real gem in Luang Prabang. The menu is varied but very Asian so one can find something for every taste. The quality of the meals is excellent with very fresh ingredients. I particularly love the Luang Prabang selection of starter and the buffalo cheek in a... More

Charming and relaxed atmosphere, very attentive service, good selection of cocktails and wines. Does not offer many vegetarian options, but Thai roasted aubergine salad and yellow curry of pumpkin and apple aubergine were superb.

I was clearly unlucky but I ate here and had a Penang curry swimming in fat and I was unwell in the night. I did politely complain but was still charged the full amount.. The breakfast is good and the staff very friendly. My room number 14 was very noisy as its close to the kitchens of the very popular... More

The restaurant is as lovely as its name and the food very delicious. One can have a glass of wine and admire the flowers while waiting to be served.

We ate here on our first night in Luang Prabang as it was just along the road from where we were staying. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food (albeit from a limited menu) was superb and the service excellent. The desert of tapioca, mango , coconut milk and palm sugar was simply amazing! Eat here! You won't... More
