Went to Lasio Lay after having a really long day touring the sights of Mandalay. It's a bit rough and ready but the food is worth it. You will find the locals eating here which is always a good sign. Was a long walk from our hotel (Bagan King) but worth it to eat geniuine Shan food - easy to... More

If you looking for Northern Shan Food in Mandalay, this is good place to eat. Lot of choice. Quick and tasteful.

A very typical Shan style restaurant. You'll get big bang for your buck. Food is quite decent. But don't expect any fancy service or decor. It is just local joint that is also frequented by the locals. Food is oily and very salty (just like any Burmese cuisines). So be aware.

We were each given a large plate of rice and were allowed to pick as many buffet choices as we wanted. Variety is great, with different kinds of meat dishes and lots of veggie options. Great opportunity to sample many different kinds of Shen-style food (food from the north of Myanmar). Cost was 4,000 MMK each.

Love how authentic this place is, the setting, its crew and customers, and of course the food! It is very cheap for us tourists but I think it is actually mid-range restaurant for the locals. The restaurant served up about 20 different dishes, you just need to pick what you want at the food counter. The owner and crew speaks... More

Eat here while in Mandalay. The best value for money buffet style restaurant you will find in Myanmar. I ate here every night. You pick the dishes you want, as many as you want. We ate like kings for $ 10 a night, with drinks.

Nice to be able to pick your own dishes. Love the fish and vegetable dishes. Nice because it is local. Definitely recommend.
