My boyfriend and I went for a romantic walk trough old town of Dubrovnik and i had a craving for asian food. Saw this charming place at the street next to city church, busy and buzzy but well organized. Kind gentleman showed us menus and said they will have free table in a minute if we had a pacience to wait and so we did charmed by friendly servce. Few minutes after we got our table set and ready with menus, we went for sushi set for 2 (while we were waiting we coud actually see sushi chef preparing our order on counter). Freshest and tastiest sushi i havent tasted in a while... And of course for desert their deep fried ice cream (i'm in love)...

Away from the crowd and in the very heart of a wonderful city, this small sushi&wok bar left a great impression on us. The food was fresh and delicious, we were served with a smile and the price matched the quality. In one word, excellent.

During our visit to Dubrovnik Old Town, we had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic restaurant. The sushi was some of the best we've ever had - fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The beef noodle was equally impressive, with tender beef and perfectly cooked noodles. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was charming. This spot is a must-visit for anyone in Dubrovnik!

Was a little hesitant when walking in as no other tables were taken but the restaurant soon began to get busy.
They offer lots of different sushi but as that is not really our thing we ordered some spring rolls to start which came out hot,fresh and a good sized portion.
We then had the wok fried chicken noodles and the garlics chicken and rice. Both dishes were very tasty with lots of flavour and good sized portions.
I would recommend to anyone who fancies a change to the local Croatian cuisine

Nothing can go wrong in the small familie restaurant like this one. You can see the chefs movements as he rolls fresh sushi and keeps the tables under control.The food was excellent ,as was the service in a beautiful intimiteit setting. If you like Asian food,you must try-out this one

This wonderful little sushi bar deserves all the praise . The food was extremely tasty with fresh ingredients and beautifully presented. We haven't tried such good sushi and noodle for a long time,although we eat Asian food once a month. The chef was very kind to explain the menu to us so that we could choose more easily. In the end we spend more time here then usual because of an extra round of Miljas wine and Sapporo beer

First we ordered ebi nigiri and tuna sashimi and later l had beef noodles and fried ice cream with honey and my wife beef with oysters sauce and fried banana. Everything was made and served on time,unbelievably delicious. This hidden place is a champ, must try

A great new spot! Really good sushi, friendly staff, went with some friends and we loved it!! We are from Ireland so we were a little scared about the food but it was all fresh, the fish was very tasty and when we needed recommendations a really nice man (I think he's the owner) gave us some tips. Would 100% come back again 💕

We ordered a selection of sushi rolls and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity offered. The waiters were really friendly too. Thoroughly recommended. We’ll definitely return when we next visit Dubrovnik.

My company and me went for a quick bite to eat, walking trough the streets of historic Dubrovnik we stumbled into this amazing little asian oriented paradise. Service was very helpful and polite (they have Saporo beer!), sushi was more than tasty and flavorful. Prepared fresh just behind us on counter as we saw when chef sliced beautiful fresh peace of tuna, cannot forget wok as well as tasty and fresh as sushi. We were full for desert but we will be back for sure !

In Dubrovnik, right in the Old Town, in a narrow street next to the church of St. Blaise, there is this small but nicely decorated sushi & wok bar. Of course, we had sushi, which was excellent, and the staff is very friendly. The prices are acceptable, which would mean that on a scale of 1 to 5, the prices are 3. I highly recommend it.

This charming little restaurant with style ,hidden in a hole in the wall of a side street of old town,prepares amazing fresh food that you should definitely try. Excellent quality and value for money.In other places we paid more and were not nearly as satisfied as here ! The staff and the atmosphere were lovely.
So far Bonsai has exceeded all our expectations !
At the end of dinner,we were kindly asked to write a review that we would have written anyway to praise this exceptional place. The reason for this is the misunderstanding of the city authorities for the approval of a couple of terrace tables,so social networks are the only way to attract quests,because without outdoor tables this top restaurant is invisible.Looking around the city,we noticed hundreds of outdoor tables and it is very sad and we think it is unfair that Bonsai there is not a single tables ! I would ask everyone who reads my review to visit this place,enjoy the food and the atmosphere as a sign of support because it really deserves it.thank you in advance.

Visited one evening as a family of four. Out of season so was quiet but was really nice location and setting. Waiter was nice and very attentive. We ordered starters and mains which included beef noodles, spring rolls, seaweed salad and the sharing platter of sushi which was 30 pieces. Was amazing food, really tasty and fresh. Drinks were good though the cocktails were very strong 🥴😂. Highly recommended.

My Filipino friend really wanted to eat Asian food so we ended up at Bonsai. The service was friendly and the service fast. We have ordered beef gyoza, spicy beef stir fry, bonsai rolls and sea bass sashimi. The food arrived quickly and everything was very tasty. I would recommend this restaurant if you wish to eat Asian in Dubrovnik

Saw this on Google and decided to give it a try. Glad we did. It’s a really small restaurant and we didn’t have a reservation but they managed to slip us in before the reservation party needed the table. Portions are reasonably sized but I also always under estimate on Sushi. Should have gone for 4 menu options instead of 3 but everything we received was excellent and it just meant there was room for gelato on the walk home. Intend to revisit but will reserve a table next time. Can be hard to find as it’s newish and small. Highly recommend.
