If you want fresh fish, this the best place to go. It is a tiny place so book ahead. The way the fresh fish is presented seems to be scripted and once you have heard it for yourself you tend to hear the same script from every table!

Worth coming to eat. You must book before hand. We had the mixed grilled seafood which was enough between two. I was stuffed.

I would really like to go back and try more food from this restaurant because what we ate was delicious. Despite being tempted by the very fresh looking array of fish offered for that day, we elected for an octupus with chick pea stew and squid with broad bean stew. Both were so delicious we wanted to lick our plates... More

Tiny family place, but so good we never went anywhere else. Fish plate for two was spectacular. Also anchovy paradise. Try the sour cherry liquer.

It was a good lunch overall. I liked that our waiter brought the day's catch to our table and talked about each of the options in detail. It was a very nice touch right from the get-go. For an appetizer, we ordered the Shrimp in White Wine and Garlic which was sublime. Of note, the shrimp are served whole. This... More

But the food was exceptional. I didn't have the highest expectations but when we walked past the restaurant was crammed full of locals, (always a good sign), and getting a seat was almost impossible. For good reason; the food was very fresh and absolutely delicious. I can see why this place is so popular!! If you love fish and want... More

We only ate here twice in our one week stay in Split (well, there are some other great restaurants)....lovely home-style konoba serving local, fresh fish in simple dishes...don't look past the fish plate for two...a generous selection of all the day's catch that is shown to you and explained before you order.

Decided to visit this place based upon reviews on TA as one of the best in Split. Upon arrival we were seated promptly with no prior reservation and shown the catch of the day. We decided to go with the fish platter for two which included the whole seabass, tuna, dogfish and prawns. We were not offered to get the... More

Well Ted, our place is not trying to be fancy, far from it, it is a small rustic family restaurant. We are opposite from your wishes which makes me question your intentions as I saw your other reviews for Split. If this is an attempt by my competition to raise themselves on TripAdvisor, I warn you that only time will... More

I read the reviews and reluctantly agreed to try it. I don't like places where everything's a 5. How can that be? We'll this place, these guys and this amazing seafood deserve all the accolades. They actually managed to be better than the hype. The key here is SIMPLICITY. Everybody talks that game but these guys deliver it. After all... More

This is why we do it! This is why it's worth all that effort, people like you, that get it! So we will continue with our vision where quality local food that Dalmatia has in abundance, should be done in the best - simple way, with best Brač olive oil and a pinch of Adriatic sea salt :) Thank you... Me and my friend went to the restaurant for dinner on an early Wednesday evening and it was just another couple there besides us in the restaurant as it was low season. My friend ordered tenderloin and it was nice and juicy. The chard with potatos was not that good. My fish with was good but l didn't like the... More

Description
Our small family restaurant is run by Father & Chef, preparing dishes that are passed on by his mother and grandmother. Our family lives in this neigborhood for more than 300 years. Blessed by the heavenly Adriatic, seafood is mainly our thing. As we depend on the weather working with fish, daily menu is flexible. Vegetables are bought on the bazaar behind the palace & the fish-market is 100m away. Even our wine & olive oil is made by local family producers. Enjoy traditional Dalmatian dishes in friendly atmosphere.. Welcome foodies!
