Great place! We had the Carne pequeno and a soup. Both were excellent and large portions! The price was very reasonable.

We went here twice. We tried the grilled fish, the grilled meat (asado) and sopa de albondigas (tomato with meat balls), . Not only were the three courses very taste, they also costed us only Q50. The staff was very friendly. There were not many people at that time, but we were very happy to be one of them.

We had me walking around the town for far too long after not having eaten all day so near staving felt like an understatement. La Casa de las Sopas offered all the traditional soups but also a few other plates too. These are very reasonably priced and had an authentic feel to the Mayan dishes. However as they do not... Soup sounded like it would be the perfect dinner. Ordered the Pepian, a traditional brown broth with chicken, rice, potato & vegetable. It was very tasty and very filling. Seating is in a courtyard and the server was very courteous and nice. They add 10% to the bill for service. Pepian cost 45q. It seemed most soups on the menu... More

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed eating a couple of times at this quaint little restaurant while we were in Antigua. The traditional Pepian soup was delicious as well as the Caldo de Pollo soup. One generous bowl could easily serve two people! Both were full of chicken, rice and many hearty vegetables. Just what the doctor ordered as I... More

Decided on this place as my partner's tummy was sensitive from too much spicy/street food of late. We ordered the meatball soup (sopa de albondigas) and a traditional chicken dish; pepian. Both were lovely! The soup was served with garlic bread, corn chips, and basket of tortillas and was very fragrant. The pepian was densely fragrant, rich, and hearty. Prices... More

Big bowl of flavorful chicken soup. Squash, potato, rice, carrot make it a meal for 2. Needed salt but that's how I make it. Lovely, simple decor and service.

Small intimate restaurant that make homemade dishes. We specialize in soup and Guatemalan CALDOS, which is like a soup on steriods! We buy all of our produce fresh from the local market and cook everything from scratch. For our customers that arent too interested in soup, we have plenty of options you will like. Our soups are served with a salad and large local heavy bread w/garlic mayonaise pesto. Come in and try our local dishes, you wont be disappointed.
