I'll start this off by indicating my history with the restaurant. My first visit was six or seven years ago when my firm rented it out for a company lunch. It was a good enough experience that I started going there for business lunches for...More

Not overly busy on a Thursday night. Food service slow [very] but waitress very helpful and pleasant. Food disappointing. Meat in bourguignon dry and tough, sauce seemed to be added to the beef, rather than having been cooked; no onions, carrots or mushrooms. Really boring...More

I had a but higher hopes for this restaurant. The service was fine, nice selection of drinks and wines, but the food was forgettable. The $28 scallop dish had 5 small scallops on a big bed of mashed potatoes and a bit of chard. There...More

Recently moved back to this part of the state after a long absence. Took a chance, booked dinner for four at Chez Albert and were not disappointed. Wonderful ambiance, amusing, efficient waiter, and terrific food. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will return.

My wife, son and I went to Chez Albert because it had come highly recommended by several friends of ours. It was a pleasant mid-week evening, with a number of couples eating outdoors, though we ate indoors, facing the street. The wait staff was extremely...More

In the UMASS neighborhood, we never expected to enjoy such a sophisticated lunch. The salads and brie croquet were delicious. The dessert was fantastic. Our server was very friendly and attentive. We were back on the road in less than an hour.

The place is lovely, private and the food is delicious. The portions are very small. I enjoyed my meal, but my husband found his too rich and not to his liking. The real issue weas it is very expensive and I question whether it was worth it.
