We've visited Annapolis several times before, but somehow never got here. That won't happen again! Great nautical decor and huge collection of interesting old area photos, posters, and New Yorker cartoons on the walls. Good selection of draft beer including their own signature label. We were there for lunch and decided to have the crab cake sandwich, wonderful and when... More

A mainstay in Annapolis. Good "Happy Hour Specials" that can't be beat Monday-Friday. 100s of donated red Mt Gay regatta hats are on desplay in the the corner of the main bar. lots of sailing pictures and most times sailing video playing. Come here to have your Rum drink!

My 2yr. old son and I frequent The Boatyard Bar & Grill 2-3 times a month and we have a great time. The kids menu and crayons along with the fish and marine trinkets hanging on the walls keep him more than entertained. The food is great and consistent every time we go. The waitstaff is very friendly and the... More

I had the original Smith Island Cake at Boatyard last year on my birthday, and yes, that is why I came back this year. BUT before I had that amazing Smith Island Cake, I had what are allegedly the best Crab Cakes in Maryland (All killer/No Filler!). I don't know if the Crab Cakes at Boatyard are the best in... More

Returning here after a year, we were not disappointed. While it still is very loud and crowded, it is fun and the food is tasty. A short walk over the bridge from the middle of town. They call their crab cakes the best in town and “all killer, no filler”. My husband is pickey about his crab cakes and he... More

Parking is a bit of a challenge. Quality of food is good for the money. Variety menu so something for everyone. We always enjoy the crab cake and fish sandwich. The service is always friendly and excellent. Keep in mind the place is little loud but fun. The bar always seems to be busy.

This is a casual bar/restaurant favored by locals for everything from seafood to steak. The atmosphere is rustic no-frills nautical. Casual dress is the rule. Parking is at a premium; the parking lot is small. Drop someone off to get your name on the list while the driver hunts for street parking. We tried for reservations, but not accepted for... More

Description
The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.
