The food was good. The beer was good. The music was Irish. And the setting was definitely Irish. It is a good spot for lunch.

I stopped in for lunch with colleagues, based on a niece's recommendation. They have options for everyone, including vegetarians. I am not a big eater at lunch but the soup and bread was very satisfying for me. The flavors were layered and complex. I have been back since my first visit and have added Galway Bay to my list of... Food was very good, lots on the plate! Only thing was the appetizers were a little light on quantity for the price. Fish and chips was excellent, pot roast was good, shepherds pie very good.

We tried this restaurant based on other TA reviews & because it is also Gluten Free friendly. Not only does the menu have a marking for GF dishes, but they also stock hard cider & a GF beer. My wife had a mix grill special. I had pot roast, with mashed potatoes & fresh vegetables. Generous portions of flavorful food.... More

Stopped in for a good meal and some Guinness. It was a great meat stew for dinner and a couple of good beers. It was a great place to have a meal and a beer. It really was a great place to see. Service was great and the beers were great too.

Having visited Galway Bay on several occasions, I find it to be consistently average. Usually I order a burger or a BLT. The burger has been just "OK" and the BLT has never been served as I've ordered it. How hard is it to make a BLT, light mayo, on toast? Apparently, it is a challenge for the Galway Bay... More

We visited the Galway Bay to get a drink and some snacks before heading to see a show at nearby St. John's College. The food was excellent: we had a generous well-seasoned and tasty portion of mussels, together with deliciously meaty fried oysters. We also have the corned beef poppers, which were exceptional - chunks of corned beef covered in... More

This pub is comfortable and popular with locals. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The bartenders are welcoming, and the Guinness is great (other beer, including craft beer, is available on tap). Full menu is available in the bar. Potato Leek Soup and Beef Stew are my favorites, but I also enjoyed a salmon dish.

Our B&B owner recommended Galway Bay. There was no room in the bar/pub, so we sat in the dining room. Service was great. The food was good but not amazing. If anything, we were done faster than we might have been so, finding the bar still full, went in search of another spot for a couple of night caps. All... More
