advertised fresh seafood and it may have been but was so covered in buttered bread crumbs you couldn't tell. Most dishes featured heavily buttered bread crumbs. Could have been more imaginitive with the dishes. Service was fine.

Chose The Village Inn for a Sunday mid-day meal, arriving at around noon. Wondered if the restaurant was open because there were only a handful of vehicles in the large parking lot. Meal (for 5) began with a block of nondescript white rolls partially wrapped...More

Stepping into the Village Inn is taking a step back in time. The building is very dated and dark. The food is o.k. for the price but it won't wow you. Staff on the other hand are great. Very pleasant and upbeat.

Just prior to Good Friday the Village came in third in the chowder competition. I have not seen people having to wait since the Village reopened until Good Friday. We intentionally arrived early for dinner. We placed our order and thirty minutes later the waitress...More
