Great food, great people. Haddock chowder is excellent, as good as I've had anywhere. Much better than what the big restaurants THINK is chowder. I returned for breakfast. Watching my meal being prepared from my seat at the counter it was obvious that every aspect of this operation is done with great care. The kitchen is exceptionally clean. The decor... More

This review is short and sweet. Food is unbelievable, homemade food, pies, cookies, you order anything here and you wont be disappointed or leave hungry. Well worth the trip.

I recently visited the Little Red Hen in Andover Maine for lunch. We were pleased that someone finally opened a great restaurant in town. The location is super clean and comfortable. I had a turkey club and my brother-in-law had a grilled ham and cheese with fries. Both were excellent. The diner also had freshly made cookies and desserts that... More

We stopped in for lunch while doing a driving tour through the area. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was very friendly and fast. We especially enjoyed the grilled muffins.

An OTR Trucker recommended The Little Red Hen, and we're glad we went! Juicy burger was cooked to order. BLT had a rasher of bacon - which stuck out both ends! We had heard about the wonderful baked goods, and were not disappointed! Apple & raspberry pie and the raspberry muffin were wonderful! The whoopie pies were fresh, and twice... More

This little spot could have easily gotten 5 stars had they put in a little effort in their food and their appearance. Rather the food was wonderful or not, I immediately got a bad impression when I sat down and saw grime all over the butter dish, the salt and pepper lids, and my husband's silverware. That is horrible that... More

We went here for breakfast on our way out of town on a weekend getaway. It was delicious. Everything was home cooked and looked and sounded so good. We were very happy with what we ordered. The seating area was very spacious and clean. The smell was amazing as soon as you walk in the door - homemade cinnamon rolls.... More
