The food could hardly be any better. We had the lamb and bacon tacos and some corn fritters as appetizer, and then ate marvelous seabass with octopus and squid, as well as calamares stuffed with ink risotto. It's hard to tell which dish was better....More

If you like pretentious food served with an overwhelming dose of arrogance, look no further. The food is plated beautifully, and haphazardly tasty. Flavour combinations are not always well thought through- it's almost as if Goldilocks's lazy sibling is in the kitchen: "this dish is...More

Perfect restaurant for business dinners as well as for couples. Nice environment, delightful fusion food, inspired in local flavors!!!! Excellent wine suggestions, great service. No doubts, best place to dinner in Panama.

I've done the legwork: This was one of the best tasting menus I've had in the world. First, the restaurant isn't obvious to locate from the street, so fortunately our driver knew what to look for. The restaurant appears small, but inside has an open...More

After a dinner at well rated Madrigal yesterday and Maito tonight, I came to the conclusion that so-called refined food is not a great idea in Panama. They just don't have the culture - and probably not either access to the right ingredients. Once again,...More

The food here was less flavorful and not as nicely presented as with some other restaurants like La Post and Donde Jose or Madrigal. Flavors were somewhat bland and at odds with one another. Service was average. The atmosphere was good though the restaurant did...More

I chose this restaurant because it was on the 50 best list for south america. We ate at this restaurant on a Friday night in February, prior to Carnival starting. Perhaps the chef was not in because the tasting menu was inconsistent for the 4...More

I am not 100% certain, but I believe Maito is closed on Sunday. Things may have changed, so call. I was there on a Monday.
