Boasting an amazing out door patio, this place is great any night of the week. It has a higher pricepoint, but that's what you get everywhere in zona hippo. I've visited here several times, and had great service and also a very messy service with overcharging our bill and refusing to take responsibility. If you go ( and you should!)... More

Food was very tasty. We had the Ceviche ,Pollo Asado and 4 beers which cost us 745 Cordova ( $26.50 USD). Great open back patio with live music.

Go to the Garabato if you want to try typical food with the sense of homemade food for a very good price.

I visited this restaurant twice in one week because it was such a nice, laid-back environment. There is a gorgeous out-door patio, a full page of vegetarian options (including some gluten free options), and I had the opportunity to chat with manager, and I was impressed that they are one of the few places in the city who are GLBTQ... This restaurant was recommended by my guidebook, so my girlfriend and I went there with reasonably high expectations. They were soon disappointed. Although we were there early in the evening and there were only two others in the restaurant, the service was slow and diffident. The wait staff didn't pay much attention to us or seem to care much about... More

We only spent 1 night in Managua and this restaurant was recommended by a local person as a place to have typical Nicaraguan food. We went on a Saturday night and were pleased to find that it was tango night. We had a great table on the open air porch as we were there an hour before dancing started at... More

Well, it might well be because I grew up next to Switzerland, but I have to say, that their chocolate fondue with fruit bits as a dessert is just something you rather would not expect to get at such a place, or would you?! The chocolate is extremely delicious! Another advantage of the place: you can walk there from the... More

Two of us ate dinner here in the middle of the week. The Antojito Variado was OK but not worthy of the price. The Yuca Frita was very good. The service and atmosphere was good. The restaurant options seem limited in the Zona Rosa of Managua.

My husband and I used to love El Garabato. It has a nice atmosphere, the service was good, and they served delicious local food. But lately, we were sad to notice it was all changing... The service is often bad, and the food is not as good as it used to be. The other thing we noticed was that they... More

This was our 3rd time at this restaurant. The first two visits were great! The reason we chose to eat here while in Managua on Valentine's Day 2013. The restaurant was not busy when we first arrived. Our waiter didn't speak English so ordering wasn't easy, but he clearly knew what we ordered. About 20 minutes later, a waitress came... More
