I went here with my mom, because she heard that this place served good paella, and the plate wasn't that expensive as in other places. To my taste, the paella wasn't impressive, just good, but the service is not so good as they have few...waiters for the whole place, so we had to wait a lot to order and even to pay!More

Ok listen up closely. This place seems like it has been stuck in time for the past 30 to 40 years, and not in a bad way. The restaurant is housed in what is literally a house that was fashionable circa 1975 san salvador fashion...era. Think post 1960's transition into the mid 1970's. Food is good, healthy and savoury. Its worth it to go for the experience.More

Even though is not located in one of the top Comercial areas of San Salvador, is worth eating in this restaurant, if you are looking for an authentic Spanish style food.

Friendly atmosphere, great assortment of local and Spanish dishes, cleanliness, good attention, excellent and safe location, convenient parking, affordable prices. Make no mistake, this "comedor" offers delicious meats, sea food, Paella, Callos a La Madrilena, conchas rellenas among other entrees and main dishes. For those...ones looking for local food there is also a variety of "tipicos" combinations too. Good cold beer as well. I met Chef/owner FITO who is dedicated to customer satisfaction. All my friends that I have taken there, they always come back. Great culinary experience.More

For my birthday, my Mom and one of her friends decided on taking me to A Fuego Lento. I had never heard of the place, but I decided to let them take me to discover a new spot on the map. And, boy, this was...a pleasant surprise. The signature dish is Paella Valenciana, a Spanish delicacy, and let me tell you it is good (not excellent, but good). My choice was Paella Mixta (rice with seafood and pork and chicken meat, among other ingredients) and it was the right one. Value is excellent when you take into account that for $9.95 you get an entree (salad), the main dish (a regular-to-big Paella), and a small dessert (a small piece of vainilla ice cream). In addition, my drink choice was a "fresco de ensalada" (juice with a variety of chopped fruits). The place was clean, we got exactly what we ordered, service speed was incredibly fast (the food was ready in less than 10 minutes). The only sour spot is the atmosphere: in a Spanish-food restaurant, you expect a Spaniard-type decoration plus music from the peninsula. We found none of these: the house where the restaurant is located is very plain and the music playing was standard American pop fare, plus an interlude of live marimba music. All in all, a surprising place where I would visit again to savor the Paella once more.More
