I had lunch and dinner in Haute Pepper several times and it was always good, never disappointing. Their food is very good, the service was reliable, on time, and the place looks very good for either a romantic or a business dinner ; i would say also for a dinner with friends, just not the loud type :-) I would recommend the soups - the tomato one is the one i always order there, and for the main course i would say either seafood risotto or linguine with seafood, or the pork ribs which melt in your mouth... Prices are fair for the quality of food, you would pay more in fancy places and get maybe a lower quality. Make sure you reserve a table in advance.

Stayed in Bucharest across a weekend with some friends and this was by far the most civilised and pleasant place we came across. It’s very close to the People’s Palace so I suspect that it would be busy normally however the roads were closed for some reason and we were easily seated despite the lack of capacity.
Lovely atmosphere inside and well decorated, looks new. Had a few coffees which were lovely and the bartender was happy to swap the liqueurs in the coffees for us for no extra charge. Everything I could see on the menu was very well priced and we weren’t asked for a cash tip of 20% after paying on card as we were in many other Romanian restaurants.
Didn’t eat here, but from what I could see the food looked good and there was a lot of choice. I very much doubt that I will return to Bucharest but would definitely return here if I did.

I decided to try Haute Pepper based on the previous reviews. I just want to say that all of the positives in the previous reviews were not exaggerated. The professionalism of the wait staff, the quality of the food, everything was excellent. I asked for something that wasn't on the menu, Fructe de Mare pe (Seafood on) Penne paste. Not only was there no hesitation, the dish arrived with the fish wonderfully cooked and the penne a perfect al dente.

We came to Haute Pepper for lunch first time last week and i must say we were really impressed. The food and the service was impeccable ,The Hautepepper is a restaurant situated in the heart of Bucharest close to Unirii Square.
As you step your foot into the restaurant, you are welcomed by the magnificent terrace with one of the important aspect right now (the 6ft distance beteween tables) which might sound strange but with the latest Covid19 world wide spreading it is the most important setting in any restaurant.
Every table gives you a clear view of the safety distance. We walked in without prior reservation, and we were welcomed by one of the servers in a very polite manner.
The menu offers a wide variety of delicious and mouth-watering starters followed by the main course, specially designed for youngsters and adults. I had Bruschetta as a starter and an amazing seafood risotto cooked to perfection. There are several restaurants that are not very versed in risotto and some chefs are cooking it way to long and it doesn't feel like a risotto anymore...more like a rice pilaf and that's not what i was looking for. However at Haute Pepper was cooked perfect and "al dente" the way it supposed to be. My friend an italian antipasto and a rabbit leg stuffed with foie gras and wrapped in prosciutto.I tasted it and it was super delicious. I have to admit that all their dishes were were exquisite. This was really thrilling. It was all followed by an amazing homemade cheesecake for dessert that was fresh and creamy. being from NY i have to admit that the cheesecake was PERFECT.
The service was phenomenal. Our server had some great recommendations and he was on top of everything including food knowledge and wine knowledge plus he spoke a perfect english and explained us every course step by step.
We ate 3 times there and every single time we had the same amazing experience. While for dinner we went to some other restaurants in the Northern part of bucharest near Herastrau lake..i have to admit that the food was super disappointing and the service was really bad in some places as La Braserie, or beautiful by the Lake.
We will be back in Bucharest and defintely we will be back at Haute pepper.

I had a wonderful time in such an intimate location! It was absolutely fabulous. The atmosphere was very cozy and warm, the dim lights, the background music, it all made my dinner so relaxing and enjoyable.
The food smelled and tasted amazing. As a matter of fact, as I was waiting to be seated, I came across so many different flavors the smelled amazing which made me so eager to order and eat!
The staff, very professional and respectful, the waiting time was just fine, not too much but enough to enjoy your drink before you eat the delicious dishes you ordered!
The prices are a bit high than other restaurants but I must say somehow, it is a balance price-service .

This is our fourth or fifth time at Haute Pepper in the couple few years, and it never disappoints. From the food, to the atmosphere, to the attentive staff, this little gem of a restaurant is outstanding in every way. It's located right next to the Palace of the Parliament, on a beautiful central boulevard which, in the summer months, makes for a wonderful area to stroll before or after dinner, as well. The restaurant itself is fairly small, but very tastefully decorated and, because of its size, offers a very pleasant and intimate ambiance. The food is absolutely amazing! While the menu has changed over the years, we've never once ordered something that wasn't delicious. We've had several of their pasta dishes, salmon and steak entrees, as well as deserts, and we've loved each and every one of them. Awesome drinks menu, too, with excellent variety. There is a reason we return to this restaurant every time we go to Romania to visit family, and we already look forward to our next visit!

went to this restaurant with my family last night and we stayed on the lovely terrace. for starters we got the bruschetta and italian antipasto to share and it was more than enough, good value for money and they all tasted good. my wife got the shimp& zucchini pasta and i got the beef tagliatelle and they tasted just like the ones we had in Italy.
definitely woud reccomend for anyone trying to find a good restaurant in Bucharest.

We visited this restaurant after visiting the Palace, by random.
Great location, good food.
We were two families with kids, we had lunch, the food was rather good.
The only thing that i would suggest would be to have a kids menu also.
The kids ordered burger or schnitzel. But the schnitzel, had also seeds in its panko cover, which made it unlikable to the kids whilst for me it was delicious!
The men had the pork chop. It was good. I had the Ceasar Salad with chicken. Not many greens. Just one green with crouton, chicken in pieces, parmesan and sauce. Could be better.
This restaurant though, had the best Cheesecake i ve had in ages.
However, this is something i ve noticed to all restaurants, asking for a tip of 10 or 12 %.
It is not mandatory.
So why ask it?
We had a bill of about 522 Lei (Euro 105 for 7 people) and they asked for a tip of 60 Lei (Euro 12). My husband didnt understand it, so he paid, and i only discovered it later when i checked the ticket. I also found out that they charged 2 beers extra (Lei 30) and i when i pointed it out , they ve returned the 30 Lei, and apologised.
But i didnt like this.

I used to go to this place almost everyday day when I was young. Since I left Romania they changed the name and the design so when I came back for a visit I couldn’t resit to check this place again. The ambient makes you fell like you are in one of the top restaurants around the world.
If you ever go there you should definitely try the Tagliatelle with truffles and the Sea bass with smashed sweet potatoes and beurre blanc sauce which are cooked in a perfect combination. You can’t leave the place without having the delicious dessert Pavlova. I will definitely come back.

I came here for a winter date night. It was cozy with about 15 tables, split between two levels, so a really lovely sized restaurant. Our waiter spoke English which was great as our Romanian is almost non-existent. I asked for his recommendations and he kindly gave us some suggestions and everything we ordered were dishes he suggested. He never seemed annoyed by our questions. On his suggestion, we shared the seafood a la chef dish as an appetizer and the sauce was so flavorful. We also shared the rulouri kamchatcka dish, which is smoked salmon and cream cheese with rice paper and sliced cucumber wrapped around it. The antricot was tender and perfectly cooked at medium. The house dessert was a vanilla tort that we shared, which was moist and delicious. For 2 people, without alcohol, but with one dessert, our total came to 343 lei (not including service). The cocktails and wine list both looked nice. I had lemonade which was frothy and not too sweet which I enjoyed. I would definitely recommend Haute Pepper for a nice date night out or dinner with friends. I agree with what another reviewer says- tasty modern food without being pretentious.

The food is very good and is served fast.
The staff was really nice until the moment to pay. The waiter was asking for 1 person to pay the meal of 8 people and then we would solve the bill between us... When we said no, that each person would pay for their own food the waiter became really arrogante. I never had this experience, where the restaurant has a group of 8 people and expects one to pay all...

This restaurant is located at the most beautiful boulevard, near to Parliament. The place is decorated with modern colors and materials. Music is so relaxed & and the appropriate volume. There is no noise from the guests! There is a bar, and tables for couples or bigger companies. Restaurant serves coffee, food, wine & sweets. Also, there are brunch options. We had launch there 4 times (when our travel last 5 days and we canceled any reservation we had!). For your better service, it is better to book a table.
The service is excellent & professional. The food is really tasty, the quantity enough for one person and the presentation so chic! It is recommended: the lemon pie (for sure!) and the fitness salad for something different !
Regarding prices, we think that it worth any euros (or lei) !
The toilettes were clean.
You can pay cash or with card.
If I travel in Bucharest again, I will eat at this restaurant without any second thought.
Keep the great work ! Your quality is far away from other restaurants around there!

The restaurant is nicely decorated, near the huge parking place in front of the House of People, in case you come by car, it is cozy and with friendly waiters. My husband and I go there regularly for the asparagus with butter and parmigiano. Exquisite! The rest of the food is also very good quality. I totally recommend it.

Probably the best service in Bucharest. The staff is friendly, attentive, helped to explain the different dishes and cuisine. The food is tasty, fresh, I recommend the mushroom soup and beef soup, and pork ribs
