Perfect place to sit and wait with an Americano or cappuccino before getting on the train to Machu Picchu. Great views of the mountains and for people watching. Very reasonably priced. Very nice, clean bathroom.

We had the BLT and it was a perfect lunch choice. Adorable hotel attached and all food is from their local organic farm. We recommend visiting! Prices a bit high but it’s next to the train.

We had breakfast here after staying a night in El Albergue (breakfast was included). The pancakes are absolutely delicious. They have a good variety of food and everything is made fresh. There were also fresh fruits and juices.

Description
CAFE MAYU is located on the Ollantaytambo train station platform. Connected to El Albergue Restaurant, we serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as lite fare all-day long, made with the freshest ingredients directly from our farm. Open from 5 AM until 9 PM, stop by to enjoy the best local beverages while watching the trains and people on their way to and from Machu Picchu. We are proud to feature our own coffee and cañazo spirits, produced on-site at El Albergue’s Organic Farm. Enjoy these unique artisanal products in Cafe Mayu or schedule a visit to the farm for a tour of the coffee roasting facility and cañazo distillery. Cafe Mayu's coffee roasting always uses premium and fair-trade coffee, purchased directly from local growers. Enjoy a freshly brewed coffee made with the same beans roasted and ground by our master roaster. Don’t forget to try a piece of our delicious cheesecake or one of our rich brownies.
