Food and service could not be any better! Amazing selection! Bread basket was the best we had ever had. Some appetizers are very small so need to consider when ordering. You can also see how chefs are working which is very interesting.

Food is absolutely top notch (but you already know that)...what really separates AG is the presentation and service from making it merely a very good meal. From the moment we arrived (dressed like backpackers, until we changed) until we left, the entire staff blew us away. I have been to other 'Top 50 Restaurants of the World' and this one... More

I'll begin by saying the food was absolutely incredible. We opted for the tasting menu and were very glad that we did. Everything was cooked beautifully and tasted incredible! That said, the evening was dampened by the service we received. It started right when we walked in when the host could not find our reservation. Only after I leaned over... More

Excellent restaurant and service. Food was amazing. For desert I ordered a Chocolate Bomb. It will feed 3 people at least. It is a globe the size of a small soccer ball and is filled with chocolate syrup and chocolate pieces. Over the top

We had the tasting of seven dishes with wine pairing. Delicate and delicious. They were a little thrifty with the wine but they all matched the dishes. $100 for the tasting + $50 for winepairing. This restaurant is for the gourmet lovers!

Best bread basket I've encountered for a while and certainly the best ever in Peru. Sommelier was pompous and close to rude. Rather overstuffed and waiters stood around staring at us as we ate which was uncomfortable. Superb guinea pig starter. Fish dishes good but not great.

Our family went there for lunch and we had the tasting menu. Spectacular food worthy of its reputation. Don't expect service to be too attentive as it is a relatively big restaurant compared to most fine fine restaurants so service can be a little tight. Nonetheless we had a great meal and definitely a must go in Lima!

When I travel, I usually check TripAdvisor and the whole web for the best places in town... Not the case now, I'm currently living in Lima since the beginning of the year and as a foodie and critic, my first question around was..."Best restaurant in town please?". To my surprise, 90% of the people never mentioned Astrid & Gaston. But... More

Don't take a taxi from Astrid & Gaston - they will grossly overcharge you. We paid 8 soles for our taxi from Miraflores to Astrid & Gaston, which our hotel called for us. The taxi that Astrid & Gaston called for us charged us 50 soles for our ride back to our hotel in Miraflores. I asked the driver why... More

We had lunch here on a weekend in Lima – with some locals. I really like the whole effect of ‘Astrid & Gaston’ – it is a marvellous old house set in the city that harks back to a time when Lima was not so nearly built up. The restaurant building entrance, the halls, the bar, the terrace and the... More
