It was raining and gone 9:45pm and we were desperate for food. In its defense the service was super fast by local standards. The food, however, was below average and stuck in circa 1974. Chicken with champignons was over cooked and side serving of vegetables cold and mushy. Decor kitsch. You deserve better. Go someplace else.

This place was recommended by our tour rep as a good place to visit and to be fair he was right. Really nice welcome, free pisco sour and a very attentive waiter was on hand to help as and when. The quality of the food was very good with an excellent selection of beers and wines. The musicians that move... More

Pleasant Peruvian restaurant just off the square (on same side of the street as the Basilica). I enjoyed cuy (yep – guinea pig) and my partner had alpaca. Both were prepared with great care and delicious. Wine is reasonably priced – (really all over Peru) and evenings a local band plays while you dine. A wonderful evening! Didn't see tourist... More

It is a verytouristic restaurant, full of turistic guides with groups of tours, it seems guides receive a comission for taking tourists. Chicha morada (local beverage) was worse I have ever tried, and other local dishes where not to good standards. It seem that because only tourists go here, they offer whatever they want as local dishes. Would definetely not... More

everybody recommended this restaurant and to avoid a long run we took their advice. The service was good, to european standards, the portios really immense! But the tastes were nothing in particular. Though that might have to do with the traditional peruvian recipies them selves. After 13 days in Peru I had the same flat impression of all the traditional... More

All guides recommend this restaurant, I think that they are getting something from the place. Disappointing and delicious food. It seems that everything is done for groups of tourists arrived and forget the food. Good local music, but every time it seems that trying to sell you something.

In Cusco, we would walk from the hotel to Plaza de Armas daily and couldn't help noticing this restaurant. A greeting lady in a colorful traditional costume was always there at the front to grab my attention. Every time we went by, this place was always packed so one evening we decided to give it a try. We had a... More

We didn't know what to order so we followed the waiter's suggestion: Guinea pig. The people on nearby tables were amused when the food arrived. It was pricey so even though hesitant we tried it; I was disappointed because I expected it to be crunchy & tasty, instead it lacked flavor. We also ordered banana split for dessert w/c again... This looked very nice from the outside but it was disappointing. The service was terrible and I mean terrible. My friends main courses arrived before my starter. The food was okay but nothing to rave about. It took almost 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive and again for the pudding. To be fair we didn't complain to the manager.... More

Recommended by many tour guides and hotel staff but let me tell you the most likely reason. They (most likely) get a commission. When we arrived there was almost nobody seated, maybe a couple of tables were occupied. The staff started to join tables and suddenly a group of about 25 Eastern Europeans (I know where they are from, but... More
