A wonderful recommendation by our hotel. The menu is varied, not too eclectic, and wonderfully fresh. Ceviche was perfect and our waiter was attentive but not hovering. It may cost more than average but well worth it.

Having read some reviews about service we approached the restaurant with caution. This was unnecessary, we were welcomed by the staff seated and served with the requested pisco sours in good time. The waiters were attentive and helpful and the dishes ordered came quickly and were delicious. This is an attractive restaurant with a warm ambience and we had a... More

I had stopped at Chicha really for a sort of mid-morning snack rather than a full breakfast. The service was very good and the setting was very charming. The large party at a nearby table were clearly enjoying themselves and their food. I was a little disappointed that the first two items I chose from the menu turned out not... More

There was nothing to dislike. One can sit in the bar area, the pation or the more formal dining room. Starting with the little rolls made in house, especially quinoa, are delicious. The main courses were all wonderful, we had adobo, ossobuco, trout, alpaca. I wish I could stay there long enough to try them all. At the end we... More

The experience is amazing! Good and sophisticated piscos are the great starter for a more than wonderful meal, full of the new Peruvian flavors. Haute eclectic cuisine that transports you to a modern Peru.

Service is an unknown concept for the staff of this restaurant. Receptionist is particularly unwelcoming; she treated us as third-class guests. Food is less than mediocre - huge quantities yet no taste and quality. Avoid booking on line - we waited a month for a reply without any result. That is another sign of lack of respect towards guests.

We wanted to eat here last night when it was quite busy. They promised us a table in forty minutes and wrote our names in the book for 8.30. When we returned they told us there was no table for us and it would take at least another half hour and there were three groups ahead of us. I understand... More

After our wonderful experience at Astrid and Gaston in Lima, we were so excited when we saw this outlet in Arequipa. Excitement quickly turned into disappointment as we felt we were being treated as one-time diners -- we were obviously tourists. We were initially seated at one of the worst tables by the bar when there were better tables available,... More

Another Gaston's present. We were recommended by a local friend to go and try. It was very nice dining experience. I had the Arequipa classic, it was a big portion seafood soup. It was absolutely delicious.
