We wanted to taste Gaston's kitchen but couldn't afford the Michelin starred restaurant in Lima so we looked for this one in beautiful Arequipa. The place is in a renovated block of shops which maintains the old picanteria style (arched ceilings and long common tables) with a modern twist, as Acurio's cuisine after all. The food is good, it's a... More

The service and food are great. A unique dinning experience. The restaurant is in the old city just off the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa. Its inside an old colonial structure. Choose to dinne inside or out side. Either ecperience is great. We dinned there twice and the service and food were exceptional. Definatly look forward to returning. Our children... More

Visited this restaurant to find out what all the fuss was about and did not regret it. Excellent food and very nice drinks. A great fine-dining experience that i would suggest to everyone visiting Arequipa.

Get a reservation or go early. Big tour groups can mean the service is stretched but good and atmosphere more than compensates.

Best food in Peru on our trip so far! The drinks were amazing and The friendly staff was skilled in making wine parings to the food. I had the rabbit which was really good and the ceviche was excellent! Recommended to everyone wanting to try very good arequipean cuisine.

Our tourguide had recommended this restaurant to us. We loved the ambiente and cosy atmosphere there. Just looking through the menue was a bit difficult, since the variety of food offered was great and very interesting, too. You might have problems to decide.... but whatever you will choose, I am sure you will not be disappointed. An excellent place to... More

On arrival, we were impressed with the historic space and kind reception. Told of a 15 minute wait, we retired to the bar for two of the best drinks we had on our trip - a non-alcoholic limondade with basil and mint for my wife, and a watermelon and tangerine Chilcano (pisco and ginger ale base) that avoided sweetness and... It does not come cheap. Then that's settled. But on the other hand, the food is so delicious that I had to eat there several times in 2013, 2015 and 2016. The focus is on Arequipa flavours - and it is possible to have a taste of llama and cactuses. I love that. The restaurant is inside a courtyard housing... More

The food was really good, I had no idea there are so many types of potatoes with such different flavours, in South America. What I really liked through was the setting, we dined at tables in the inner courtyard. One of the best restaurants we've been to in Peru
