The place has a few tables and a limited menu but the taste is authentic and good, so definitely worth a visit if you're looking for Indian food in Santiago. We tried the palak paneer and chicken curry.
We came here due to missing curries from home (England) and reading positive reviews. The lunch time slot was so busy - we were lucky to get a table! The food was simple - an option of chicken or vegetable curry with rice and naan....It wasn’t the best curry in the world by any means but it really hit the spot, it felt like eating a takeaway curry at home and was great value - 4.500pesos including a drink. I’d visit again! RecommendedMore
The curries were bland, spice-less (ordered hot). Not sure how this restaurant is ranked 61 in Santiago. I dont think you can call yourself an Idian restaurant if you dont have naan on the menu. Obviously tandoor oven.
My boyfriend and me went today for the first time to this place cause we read good comments about it. Place is small, a bit dirty, ugly, and very smelly, but that didn't disturb us a lot. What was really bothering for us was the...waiter's service. The guy was completely rude, throwing stuffs at the table, bringing stuff we didn't order and bringing the bill without having asked for it, among others. At the end he was agressively asking why we didn't want to tip him and didn't even give us the ticket. I assume they don't pay taxes. Food was not bad but the whole experience was horrible, we didn't enjoy the food, left the place with stomachache and headache. We definitely won't go again to that place again and don't recommend it at all. If you want to enjoy food go to any other place on the block, prices could be a little bit more expensive but service will be million times more decent and place will be definitely cleaner than New Horizon.More
We very much enjoyed our food and the lassi's at a very good price! There isn't much seating, but if you manage to get a table it is totally worth it.
Not a great look, pretty underwhelming really, but was nice to see somewhere we might get spicy food after Patagonia. Ordered starters and they were good, so decided to chance a main course. This was pretty bland and tasteless. Service was fine. So all in...all god and not soMore
Chicken masala, rice, naan bread and mango lassi were terrific. Very affordable and great tasting. Quick rapid service for a crowded, small location, expect a line, but you can get the food to go, too!
Good food and value - byo drinks option. Had the masala. Restraunt is a bit small, but the food is good.
We arrived about 1pm to quite a line but absolutely was worth the wait. We had chicken curry (medium spice - you can choose mild, medium or hot) with rice and naan bread with a can of drink. Service was quick and efficient. The place...is simple and turnover seems quick but what a great place to grab a really tasty and affordable lunch. Portion size also very generous and vegetarian options available. Didn't take a look at the wider menu as we went for the lunch deal (bargain, like £6 each or thereabouts) but everything looked good. Definitely check it out if you're after a curry!More
This place is great to pick up food or have a quick bite to eat in. If you're lucky to get a table (during lunch time you might wait for about half an hour) you're served within minutes. The food is of good quality and...tasty. We ate here two times and were satisfied with everything.More
Really really tasty curry, not a massive amount of selection but still tastes very good. Also not necessarily the plushest of interiors - a great place for travellers who miss a bit of Indian cuisine. Would be 5 stars but gave me an upset tummy...the following day!More
If you're looking to eat in pleasant surroundings or to linger with friends over after-dinner drinks, then this place is not for you. But if you want good Indian food at low prices, then you've hit the jackpot. The place is cramped, but always busy....There's seating for 23, but you might have to share a table. The menu is limited (mostly chicken-based) and no alcohol is available, only water, juice or pop (soda). But your order comes to your table quite quickly, and the food is very good. If you come for dinner before 7:15 p.m. you won't have to wait (or not wait long, anyway). Butter chicken, chicken curry, 2 naan and 2 pop, plus a tip: $18 US. Eat up and move on - people are waiting!More
We gave this a shot based on TripAdvisor ratings, and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is small, and not particularly fancy, but the curries were great and the price is hard to beat! Definitely worth checking out if you're sick of hot dogs and...sandwiches drenched in mayonnaise.More
I went there at about 1 p.m. today and the restaurant was shut and there was a sign in Spanish saying they are closed from November 30, 2018 until January 10, 2019. It's too bad because I was really hoping to eat there. Next time...I'm in Santiago I guess :) I don't think there could be any mistake on my part but someone else should confirm on a different day to be sure.More
