Apart from food, what we love about this restaurant is it's unique, special atmosphere (dining on the floor - great idea!). The owners are doing their best to make you feel welcome. Their special herbs tea they served us at the end of the meal - a must try! We are definitely coming back!

The food is okay but portion is very small and way overpriced. There are numerous Indian restaurants in Singapore offering similar or better food at a fraction of the price. Unsurprisingly almost all diners are foreign tourists. I don't think any local who knows a couple of decent Indian restaurants here would ever consider revisiting this place after first try.... Hellooo Umfridus, You have stated that you dined at Lagnaa in January 2017 & posted the review a month later. Thank you for the considered response. Glad you enjoyed the food but found the portions small. Umfridus, we also have a bigger portion option. Curious, why did you not choose it? Was it the price? Obviously, since you mentioned that... As a business traveller , I have been visiting Indian restaurants all around the world including India as it happens to be my favorite cusine in the world , Lagnaa takes the title of the worst Indian restaurant I have been from a VERY long list of restaurants ... The sauce of the curry was very runny , passed through... More

Maria, you're obviously upset with what you have received for what you paid. I feel your pain, Maria. (I feel you) As painful as it is for me to receive this beating , I want to explore if there is "loving truth" to learn from. Two observations, Maria, (1) price, (2) dish not to your taste, garlicky. Maria, you have... More

I loooove Indian food and had a taste of the real one for a few times in Bombay, Delhi and Hyderabad. We decided to try this place from the good reviews on the internet. The place is easy to find. Just tell taxi driver to go to Upper Dickson Road and look for shop number 6. The restaurant signage was... More

In the centre of Little India, it has a perfect location. All of the staff are very friendly and join in with their clientele. Our daughter had been to this restaurant a couple of years ago and told us that we would have a good meal here. My wife cannot tolerate onions, which can make a visit to an Indian... More

We stumbled across this restaurant when taking a walk around the Little India area. It was the busiest place around so we thought we would give it a try. We had vegetable samosas to start followed by chicken curry - level 3 hotness - which was just right for us, we could not have gone any higher and a mutton... More

Today we had lunch at Lagnaa. It's a great location in the Little India neighbourhood just about a four minute walk from the MRT station. We had the chicken curry, aloo ghobi and saffron rice. Everything was flavourfull and nicely presented on a wooden lazy susan and garnished with some matchstick vegetables. The lady who served us was pleasant and... More

We had gone there with two couples and dined on the first floor-sit down style, very relaxed approach and great for chatting with friends. The food taste however was not good- and way over priced. There are many other places in Little India that one can try- this one is missable!

Probably one of the best currys I've had. The fish head curry was exetremly good, and well worth trying. The owner clearly has a great passion for his food .

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
