My favorite steamboat place! If you are concerned about hygiene or wanting to hav different soup base, u can go for individual pot. If u r there wid family, u can go for a big pot. Highly value for money, and the food is so...fresh, service is top notch. They do not chase u away, although there's a 90mins or 2hrs dining depending on your group. Highly recommended. I'll visit them as least once a mth.More

In recent on Nov 7, I finally found a an opportunity to dine out with my friend and we choose this place, entirely by luck. It was the choice of meat, lamb slices that brought me there. The first thing you'll smell upon entering this...establishment, is the sweet smell of millet soup that is their hottest favorite this period of time. Least to say, we went for something lighter, the herbal soup and light spicy soup for the yin-yang pot. Their special beef slice, OMG it's so good! Right amount of fats and meat, though more fatty than meat portion in taste somewhat, but it melts so good when you eat it. The lamb slices is more towards the lean side and does have some lamb-y smell and taste. The rest of the meats, they're, okay. On their menu, they've really fresh liver slices I have to say, which is really hard to come by as well. The offals, well they're still a little pungent, but if you mix it with some vinegar and spice, it taste good. With every buffet steamboat here they also come with free-flow xiao long bao and side. The xiao long bao honestly taste better when it's cooled, the flavor comes together much better vs to when it's hot and you will feel the taste 'separation' of the meat and the soup in the bao. The skin is on the thicker side, but still okay. I like the crispy scallion pancake that they have, it's really not bad. Fried banana fritters that you'll get only for the dinner buffet, and their pumpkin puree. Only down side to me was that, I did hope that when ordering beverages there, that it's not the case. Only drink refillable on the menu is water and tea. Overall, I'm still very impress with the service, all the staff are really friendly, and a lady who was there working, I did not get her name, is so hospitable and kept offering us desserts and side if we wanted them even if the rest did mention that they're no longer taking orders etc. We will definitely be back for another round! That special beef slices especially!More

First visit here, came with a friend. Due to covid, it has become an ala carte buffet which I very much prefer. Food was fresh! a Lot of variety. The Xiao Long Bao is as a good as Ding Tai Fung. A pity I couldn't...eat as much. Service was good too. They told us that the portion for xiao long bao when you order is by a piece instead of half a dozen. So we have to be really specific when we order. Price i find it a little steep but it's still reasonable. 2 pax damage was $90 inclusive of buffet price and 2 soup bases which was on top of the buffet. Pretty reasonable.More

Wide variety of soup and food items for steamboat. The steamboat buffet is worth the money. Just have to top up for soup and drinks. There’s individual and shared pot options. Staff were excellent.

I was introduced to this place by my friend. Always a pleasure to dine. Staff always very prompt in their service. Food fresh and most important is the ambience. You can select from the buffet menu a wide range of fresh seafood & meat. There...is also a free flow of ice cream corner. Drinks not included in the buffet. My friend who's very picky about food gave his thumbs up for this place. He raved about it the first time we dined especially on the individual pot. Good place with excellent service. Thank you!More

Sometimes with buffet you don't get quality items but the prawns here were bug and fresh. You can also order beef and pork belly. With free xiao long bao, it's pretty value for money. Tried the scallion pancake included in the buffet, it's nothing like...those in Taiwan so forget this item. We had yuan yang soup, I like the mala which is not too spicy not oily but for traditional mala fans, this is too watered down for my other colleagues. Drinks and soup not included in buffet. Their sauce station is more limited compared to other places - they don't have crushed peanuts, fried garlic. All in all, it is still a good place to hang out with colleagues after work, especially when they have promo eg 1 free for 3 paying adults. With buffet, you don't have to hold back on what you want to eat. As they charge for wastage which is good, we also made sure we ordered what we can finish.More

For some people, the idea of having steamboat is daunting as it's communal dining. However, at Gou Fu, you can choose to have your own mini pot and yet dine with all your friends. Now, you dun have to endure ingredients you dun like that...were put in by the other diners. My daughter's and my favorite hotpot restaurant. Lots of soup bases to choose from, price ranges from $3-$9, on top of the buffet price. Ingredients are fresh, service is prompt...though the place tends to get a bit noisy during dining hours. Overall, it's a good dining experience.More

My friends and I visited the place on a Saturday evening for dinner. We started our dinner at rather early at 5pm, so naturally the place was not very packed. Overall, I quite enjoyed the experience, although for the price I felt that it should...had been inclusive of drinks. The bill came up to approximately $43 per person after splitting between 8 persons, where each person ordered at least one drink. Also need to note that we started our dinner early, therefore the service from all the wait staff was quite prompt, in terms of ordering hotpot items and getting them served. However, we had to wait for a rather long time for the Xiao Long Bao/dumplings/pancake to be served even though we were the only table of customers in the restaurant at that time. As the evening went on and more customers came in, it is noted that the restaurant interior was getting warmer. I was seated by the wall where they had this huge cool-air blower and fan on the floor, which they turned on. Even with these cooling aids, I was still feeling rather warm, and noticed that my dinner companions were breaking into a sweat. Taste-wise, I would say that the hotpot items were served in a decent and clean-looking manner. Nothing came looking and smelling foul. The prawns we asked for were fresh and very decent (ie. heads still attached to body, visually fresh and good size). Overall, I would say that this place is good for "Hotpot 101" if you have to entertain foreign visitors and would like them to experience hotpot dining. For more experienced locals, Guo Fu may not meet the expectations as it really is quite average in comparison with the myriad of other buffet hotpot places to consider dining at.More

Went with my family (4paxs) for dinner at the restaurant few days ago. Upon arrival, the staffs start to have some arguments over our booking, it was solved in the end, but we were totally ignored by the staffs while they were in the midst...of arguing. Staffs were not friendly and one of the lady (curly hair) totally black face all of us, as if we were there to bother them. Well, it is my mom and my first time trying, so we thought perhaps the food is really that great, hence, such horrible attitude. Upon sitting down for less than 5mins, we were asked to change to another seat. The new seat’s table was oily and wet, I asked the lady to clean it, she black face us again. After she wipe the table dry, there came a cockroach on the table. My mom killed it and pass it to another staff to have it cleared. There is zero apology and they don’t even feel bad about it. I must be in a great mood that day to let it off. Anyway, the food is mediocre. We ordered 4 types of soups - Kimchi, Mala, Mild Spicy and Cordyceps. The kimchi soup is definitely not authentic, full of pepper seeds and zero kimchi taste, mala soup is like those from instant noodles type, mild spicy and cordyceps do not taste great either. Definitely not comparable to the soup base in Coca or Jpot. For the price, I would rather go to other steamboat restaurants. Not just for the better quality of food but most important, the level of cleanliness and hygiene are definitely better than Guo Fu Steamboat. We will never visit this restaurant again. Nothing special or great anyway.More

Easy eating. Cooking your own fine meat and seafood in a broth of your own choice. As much as you can eat. Having a Tsing Dao beer and Korean Soju. That is what makes a nice dinner among friends. With talks and laughter. Priceless.
