About
During the day, sunlight bounces off the body of water as you enjoy the languid meanderings of passers-by. Because here at Charlie’s, we welcome in the sunny island life with the cool of a Sangria. Our restaurant prides itself on variety. From our wide-ranging menu, we offer little bites of passion and foods of fancy. It’s an indulgence of the being, a madness like no other. In the evenings soak in the company with drinks, tapas, and stone-grills. So Ladies and Gents, drop by Boat Quay and join in our evenings of cultivated food and drinks.

It was our first time to Charlie's. The outdoor table was breezy and nice. Waitress was very pleasant. There are too many choices on the menu. As we weren't hungry, we could only order rosemary lamb and 3 tapas from their "little mains of Spain". All 4 dishes were delicious! We will be back.

I recommend this place for an evening visit and sit by the tables along the water, you’ll see the river cruise boats pass and enjoy some breeze. I chose the steak and it was cooked perfectly served with crispy fries and a salad. The Bellini wasn’t the best though. There’s numerous eateries along the quay, I’d return for the food and good service.

Came here for Saturday dinner with the kids. They are crazy over Fajitas and this place serves nice chicken fajitas in generous portions. The nachos and the volcano brownie served with vanilla ice cream was a great finisher for dessert. Service all round was nice and friendly. My kids wiped out everything on the table.

Haven’t been here in a while. But it was surprisingly good. We ordered the chicken quesadillas, prawn aglio olio, and prawn tapas. The quesadillas were quite big, not the flat rubbish you get at most places. So there was substantial meat between the pita, accompanied by generous salsa, guacamole and sour cream on the side. The aglio was not what I expected... it’s more of a herb and asparagus pasta with prawns. If you get past that cognitive dissonance, it tasted great. The Gambas with mushrooms was great... prawns were super plump. But it cost 18 bucks... which is a bit steep for a tapas. You’ll probably be better off ordering a main course instead. Perhaps Charlie’s can consider a rethink of the tapas pricing. Service was attentive and helpful. Would come back again :)

this is my favourite 'local' bar in Singapore and I stop in here 2 or 3 times a week for a Tiger beer, sometimes some truffle fries or their amazing calamari. great service, friendly wee place and a great spot to watch the world walk by. I love it and everyone I've recommended to go there has loved it too. Has a special feel to it and sometimes I love to sit and watch the sports on tv and just chill....

Charlies became our regular during a recent trip to Singapore. Delicious food and a great selection of wines in a terrific location. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend a visit if you're in the Boat Quay area. The stretch of eateries along the river offers lots of options but Charlies was definitely a favourite. A big thank you to our waitress Miuu; 5 star service!

Truly one of the worst spanish food places. The paella was soggy, and seafood was completely not cooked together. The salmon was dry. And the fried squid tasted like it was fried a long time ago. I will not recommend this place, unless some changes are introduced.

Nice alfresco dining with a great view of the river and museum. The staff are friendly and service is quick. The pork ribs’ generous portion is enough for 2 and comes with coleslaw, salad and fries. The garlic prawn mushroom and chorizo olive tapas are delicious. I will give the pork cheeks a miss. Their wine prices are reasonable and they serve iced water. Highly recommended.

Originally wanted to head to a restaurant at China Sq but it didnt offer afternoon drinks. So we headed over to Boat Quay to try our luck and we discovered a gem of a restaurant with good food and an excellent view of the Singapore River. Seated along the river with a cool afternoon breeze blowing, it made for the best drinks.

I love how cozy the place is especially in the afternoon. My friend and I enjoyed our catch up with amazing food. I like how the charcoal gives amazing taste to the beef I ordered, the Plum chicken was the recommended 👍. Planning to have another cozy afternoon again!

Freshest prawn in the tapas and paella. Interesting pork cheek main, and lovely sangria and whisky sour. Many many thanks to staff named Miu Miu for her genuine service and energetic support to help plan a surprise over dinner. Although I had difficulty reserving and making the surprise plan over the phone. Great gateaway on a Sunday with less crowd.

Happened upon this bar and restaurant on Boat Quay by accident - proved to be a very good find (so much so we made a return visit). Food of very good quality with prices average and what you would expect for the area and Singapore. Over the visits the food we sampled included the chicken fajita, beef burger and salmon. All consistently delicious with good portion size. Nice range of drinks on offer to accompany. Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning when next in Singapore.

Sometimes too much selection of restaurant in a place (Boat Quay) is not good, to pick one for dinner. So, with an old friend we end up in this place, which offers alfresco dining just in front of the Singapore river. We are more thirsty than hungry, so we choose first a couple of cold Tiger glasses. Then we decide to have a hamburger each. It’s not that big, but the taste compensates for the size. The waiting staff is generally good, fast and attentive. The meal is simple and good, the beer is pleasant and cold as it should be, so this is a place where I would return another night to try something more alluring.

Went there on Thursday early. What a disappointment. No stout and Erdinger... We proceed upstairs once the cigar bar was open at 3pm. You need to settle your bill before proceeding upstairs.. Limited cigar on sale... Staff were sleeping in the open! Franking speaking could have visited other bars for drinks instead!!! What a letdown.

Four fussy diners, each with their own preferences. Thanks to Charlies wide ranging menu, no problem and we all found something we liked. Great cocktails too, a table overlooking the Singapore River and attentive staff. We all came away feeling happy.
