Celebrating Neighbourhoods There’s always that special place in the areas we live.By habit or necessity, there are checkpoints where our paths converge, no matter where our days take us. These are the places where shared moments and experiences connect us – and they eventually come to mean far more than the function it serves. A café doesn’t merely dispense coffee. Neither does a bakery simply cook flour and put them on sale. They are strongholds founded deep in the history of the area it dwells, built upon with stories shared within and around its walls. Where perspectives are challenged, broadened, renewed; and the future can be boldly envisioned with insight and belief. Where friends are

We came here a couple of times during our week in Singapore. The first time was on a weekend in the morning, with long queues. Be prepared to wait or jump to the takeaway queue like we did and subsequently ate and drank walking along....Second time we came we had breakfast croissants like a chili beef one and brie and mushrooms and both were delicious. Make sure you get your table number first as it sends them into a tailspin if you don't. Coffee was good but could be hotter. Third time was late afternoon and it was very quiet - nice and peaceful - just had coffee and almond croissant. Definitely would come again next time we're here.More

Had to return to this bakery since my last visit. Their yummy croissants were flaky morsels from heaven and just the right portion. Be prepared to wait in the morning. It is so worth it.

We had breakfast here prior to walking around the park and visiting the Battle Box. The croissants were amazing and melted in your mouth. We had to wait a little while to get served but it was well worth the wait. The host at the...door was so friendly and welcoming he even drew a picture of our son while we waited. Definitely worth a visit.More

Great pit stop after a great walk in Fort Canning but expect waiting time to get a table during weekends. Love their croissants and pastries that we need to buy take-away as well. Not a fan of their iced coffee seems strong or it’s only...me. But other than that, it's an amazing place plus there’s a nearby playground, perfect for your little ones. Also,I hope management will provide more help for their staff. It seems like there is a shortage. Thanks to all the lovely-hardworking team of Tiong Bahru - Fort Canning!More

The Bakery has maintained its high standards for bakes, and of course the well known croissants; but the coffee with the notable change in machines does not equate the standards of the other shop items. There is a growing choice of coffee on the island;...and Tiong Bahru Bakery is far from the upper tier; yet the prices for coffees remain on par with the specialist coffee shops. This does not align, as the new machines are at best the same found in hotels to deliver fast coffee at the cost of taste. Surely a proper machine with a Barista warrants the investment vs pressing a button.More

I have just returned from a visit to Singapore and I had several breakfasts here with My daughter and grand-daughter. Lovely friendly staff and delicious food. My favourite was the Quiche Lorraine and my grand-daughter always chose the Croissant :)

Not sure why this is highly rated. Service was poor when I visited on a friday afternoon. Service staff were busy talking among themselves. Asked for an indoor table, but staff rudely responded only outdoors available but offered to let me know once indoor seats...becomes available. Did not offer me the indoor seats when it was available and gave it to other patrons after me instead. Would not re-visit. Service really need improvement, I am surprised I was even charged service tax when there is no service at all!More

Great bakery with a lot of variety and quality food. It is on the expensive side and even for standard items like a baquete which is $5. Over all it is very good.

Ordered their matcha croissant and pain au chocolate - love them all! I like the pain au chocolate's texture more than the croissant, but the matcha was also really good. Had a lovely afternoon tea here. We were attended to by a helpful young lady and served by a well-built young man who was also kind and obliging, immediately after our order of 2 Cappucinos and almond croissant and lemon slice, said he'd bring our...drinks to the table. The seats were cosy and well-spaced in the lovely interior , perfect setting for a good chat. Both coffee and food were aromatic and satisfying, cutlery sparkling and paper napkins easily available cat the table. Can't understand some of the negative reviews, we were even thanked and waved goodbye to by yet another member of staff. Will definitely come again and avoid the over-crowded branch at Tiong Bahru.More
