I was in the area to pick up some fishing stuff and decided to google for nearby eats. This restaurant seemed promising from online reviews. the flaming dragon was a top pick but I was alone so i tried lighter fare. Loved the zesty citrus dressing on the sashimi salad but it was too drenched with dressing overwhelming the taste... More

I was hesitating whether I should disclose this gem that I found along Beach Road by accident. I do not want crowds where I could not find a seat to enjoy my meal. Due to its classy glass door, I passed it by a couple of times assuming it could put a hole in my pocket. I succumbed to hunger... More

We went to the restaurant to use the groupon voucher which we have bought. To our delight, the food quality exceeds our expectation. I love the terriyaki cheese cutlet which is cooked to perfection. We also love the miso soup which is home cooked. In addition, the waitresses are very friendly and also refill our tea promptly. In addition, one... More

We ate hear Christmas Eve with friends. Because of travel commitments this is the first opportunity to write about our evening. All our choices were excellent. Great presentation and wonderfully fresh. Well done. Worth a visit, you won't be disappointed

It's a huge title, but this place deserves it. Never fail to order their signature Flaming Dragon, at $20 a plate, it's pricey but well worth it. They import fresh seasonal sashimi daily from Japan and the manager, Linda, is an expert on recommendations. For exotics, they do bring in seasonal fish (I had deep sea angler fish once) when... Staying in Kampong Glam

Neighbourhood Profile
Kampong Glam
This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.
