The dry bakuteh was really good, strong taste. Anyway, it was still in plenty of soya sauce, so don't forget to order some rice to go with it. All meat were very tender and boneless. Tried pork trotters too, but the fat smelled strong meat smell, not to my liking. Went there on Monday by 1pm, supposedly full but somehow... More

We had both the dry and soup bah kuh teh. Excellent food at a reasonable price. It was saturday lunch timw so not much people were there. It's a little bit far from the mrt station but it's worth the visit. I recommend the dry bah kuh teh. Thumbs up!

Overall taste was good, meat was tender but soup was insipid. Probably because of its herbal style. However, I still prefer richer bah kut teh in Malaysia.

Not the typical flavour you get from Ipoh. But the dry version was yummy. Spicy and salty. Ambience and service so so. Need to get a fix in Klang again to campare taste. But a decent version for a quick Malaysian Flavor BKT.

Malaysian style bah kut teh is more herby while the Singaporean version uses more white pepper and garlic. This place has a strong claim to authenticity as the proprietor and his wife hail from Malaysia and borrowed the recipe from a relative's outlet in Klang. It's cheap and tasty and full of choice pieces of pork and pig entrails. It... More

Pretty decent Klang Bak Kut Teh. It's rather tough to find one like in Singapore and this turns out to be good. Will certainly return for such flavours especially the dry version

Dry bah kut teh is the boyfriend's fav supper so we eat it almost on a weekly basis. Magic ingredient is their dried cuttlefish. Gravy is to die for. Sadly, the soup version is not half as good. In fact, it's not tasty for me. Other places serve better soup bah kut teh.

I was taken by a local Chinese to this eatery for the special bah kut teh here. The quality of food was excellent and the best among all bah kut teh I had ever tried elsewhere. I was told by him the bowls we had were fusion of Malaysian and Singaporean styles. I had much less impressive bah kut teh... More

So far I have only tried the Klang Bak Kut Teh and braised Pig Trotters from this restaurant. Both are pretty satisfying. It's been years since I had Klang Bak Kut Teh from the original place, which was back in Klang, Malaysia. So can't tell if it's identical, not to mention they are so many of the bak kut teh... More

Staying in Geylang

Neighbourhood Profile
Geylang
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
