Loved the escargots and complimentary bread, steak was done well, and relaxing tea to go with dessert. Service was friendly, quick and felt relaxed after dinner.

Steak needs to be seared to a golden brown and not just the grill mark. Barramundi was good but the sauce is too watery. Husband loved the oysters as it was fresh and the creme bruleé! Service staff needs to speak up due to the...mask and mumbling doesnt help. Overall, wont be rushing back anytime soon.More
The staff were awesome. They were friendly and always available. The steak was incredible. I truly wanted to make the chef my best friend. Try it to believe it.
First time trying it. The staff was very nice enough to help me remove the bacon bit on my plate. I love the chillax atmosphere here.
I think there was a bit of miscommunication in terms of the flow, after my order was being made, they have informed me that the course will come out one by one. Ended up, I got a bunch of food on my table. I love...the concept of sweet potato salad, but the potato was too tough. The coffee was too bitter although it was illy, I think the water was too hot. I had a bad experience with the service - when it comes to payment. When I stepped in, I told them that I had chope voucher and they have informed me that I couldnt order set dinner, happy hour since I was using chope. Fair enough. When it comes to payment, the cashier came with the bill and told me, yes I know you are chope (quite rude with that reply). And I showed her that I had 2 vouchers and she did not stop me (and took a photo). What happened was when I told her I needed to pay perhaps $40 (after the 2 chope vouchers were used), she shouted at me and said that you can only use 1. Who said you could use 2? And I told her, you did not tell me that I could use 1, and even before ordering, no one told me. Her reply was," What do you want me to do"? The tone was talk down, extremely rude and totally was not called for. Fyi my bill originally was 140, not some $10 bucks meal. I was so angry that I told her that her attitude is bad. And she kept quiet (and did not apologise). I asked another staff for her name and was not given. Yes I wrote an email to the MD, not sure if the MD will even reply. I would say it may be good with kids, got pasta and all. Somehow I am confused if this is an Italian or generic western restaurant.More
It is always a joy eating at Black Pearl. The food is always up to expectations. The friendly and attentive service complements the whole experience. Thumbs up!
Totally disappointed with this restaurant. They mixed up my order and refused to change and insist is not their fault. I am talking about only sides of sweet potatoes fries. They have totally spolit my christmas dinner. They are totally poor in maintaining customer relationship....What makes me furious is the waitress insisted she is right. A total disappointment.More
As usual the food and service were good! This was our 4th time there. The steak never failed us! So delicious! Will be back again soon…
Decided to try this place as it was nearby my house. Order a set dinner that includes - Minestone soup ( Soup of the day) - Grilled Baramundi - Spiced white wine poached pear Also had the Al Carte - Canadian oysters - Asahi Clams...- Escargot - Wagyu Ribeye - Duck Confit Verdict: 1)Minestrone soup - Very badly done. Diluted and hardly tasty. 1/10 2) Grilled Baramundi - Quite nicely done. Didn't burn the meat, overall tasty. 7/10 3)Spiced pear - NA, we all didn't like it 4) Canadian oysters - Very fresh and worth it for $15 for half dozen 9/10 5)Asahi Clams-- Fresh and tasty. Good flavour to the broth. 8/10 6)Escargot - Well textured, just right amount of cheese. Not too starchy. 8/10 7)Wagyu Ribeye - meat quality is good, but the chef could have done a better effort seasoning. Hardly tasted any salt nor pepper on the steak. It was rather bland. Chef ruined a pc of good meat. 4/10 8)Duck confit- Meat was tender and tasty, well seasoned. The sides that came with the duck wasnt nice though, the salad was rather sour. 7/10 Overall Verdict - The chef shld consider changing the place to a poultry and seafood house rather then a steak house. The most important dish failed badly.More
