8 of us went for dinner at this famous cafe and the food was great! The set up was amazing, very retro, very classy. It had simple yet very gorgeous decoration, retaining the classic Victorian theme. Dishes were nicely presented and service was excellent. However, I found the place to be slightly overpriced in compare to foods available otherwise. The... More

The place is good for hang out after exploring the mall, visit the outlet and surrounding areas, we pass by here for relaxation and drink a cup of coffee. The menu and cake are quite complete while killing the time here. I like black coffee here sometimes drink a cappuccino is so good also.

Housed in an old building built in the 19th century, it has two floors, with the upper floor overlooking Fatahilah Square and the Museum of Jakarta History. Try to get a seat by the window, as it has the best view. With its rich wooden panelling, teak staircase leading to the upper floor, photos of famous artistes on the wall,... More

I came here with friends to have lunch after spending a half day in Kota Tua. Our first impression is that the building is mind blowing, as if we would be drawn into the Past during Dutch colonization. We ordered nasi goreng and Sate Ayam. The tastes are ordinary. You can get much more delicious nasi goreng and Sate Ayam... More

Getting up to the historic precinct of Kalapa Gading in North Jakarta can be a struggle in the traffic sometimes but the effort is well worth while. There is a slowly devloping/ decaying historic precinct to look at in the old trading centre and seat of Dutch Colonial government. On one side of the square is Cafe Batavia, a frozen... More

Located in one of most iconic historical place in Jakarta, this cafe serves you a really nice food with a view of front face of Museum. Feel like you were having a nostalgic moment yet remembering Batavia histories. It also serves you with a live band that sang old songs on the first floor while you could feel a different... More

The building has an old school feel and smell, which is nice. The food was nice also. What really got me was the quirky photos all over the walls in the toilet. The atmosphere is really relaxing and chilled and it was nice to just relax.

You could choose from an asian or occidental menu, broad beer options, delicious food in general; amazing Fatahillah Sq view; the design of the restaurant is quite occidental but well set up, has live music at afternoon.
