1st try at an Indian restaurant in Hong Kong and it was very good indeed . The owner was really friendly and helpful and our choice of the vegetarian options proved to be a tasty decision.

Masala on Mercer St in Sheung Wan has outlasted a fair few restaurants in the same locale. It isn't much to look at but it offers a nice diversion to the usual fare and ultimately adds to the diversity that is Sheung Wan. I hadn't visited for a good three years but had mentioned it to a friend so she... More

Great small restaurant, authentic food and flavour and extremely attentive service. Didn't get charged for BYO wine. Owner was very helpful.

Been back a few times for lunch and the service has always been miserable but today was such a pleasant surprise. Great service with a smile! Whether this is due to change of ownership/new staff or some basic training, it was a nice change to have great food with polite, professional service. Continues to be a good option in the... More

I went there after seeing the positive reviews of TripAdvisor. It lived upto the expectations. We were 6 people and hence ordered the set for 6 people. It had a great variety from starters to main course and included great options for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. We did not try any drinks, but the foos was good. For the curries,... More

Great food and great prices. Allowed us to bring wine and didn't excessively charge for corkage! Service was excellent, friendly and prompt . Best indian food in Hong Kong. Super!

Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
