This restaurant is usually packed up to the last seat and if you don’t make a reservation upfront, the chance that you get a table is close to zero. Although the teppanyaki & other food is definitely authentic Japanese the service is typical Hong Kong style. We had amongst others the Australian Abalone, Hokkaido Taraba Crab, Cod Fish, Hana Sakzuki... More

This place is always packed, particularly during lunch hours. We chose different versions of the teppanyaki lunch set, which included beef, choice of seafood (shrimp or scallop and cod), rice, soup and dessert. Certainly more than enough food for lunch, and the quality of the food was excellent. Service was just okay, but during the hectic lunch hours probably understandable.... More

Been here for so many times and never doubt their food and service was exceptional. However, tonight, I tried some new dishes recommend by the chef and again, it was amazing. Happy to be back here again.

Great quality Japanese. Sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki, etc are all excellent and the chefs work very hard to make everything well presented and delicious. Open dining and private rooms are available. Good for families and larger groups or couples at the bar. Still think it's more of a high end family Japanese restaurant but that may just be my experience. Ambiance... More

My husband's company celebrating mid autumn festival with all of his colleague and me on 9 Sept. We visited there for Teppanyaki. They have arranged us to stay in a big room. All of us can enjoy Teppanyaki and have individual area for seeing the chef to cooking. We appreciated their foods arrangement and good service. All of their staff... More

Visited one Sunday lunch, we had to book in advance, comfortably seated, nice ambience, extremely attentive staff who constantly topped up our green tea and removed our tray as soon as we'd finished. Food was delicious, presented beautifully, I had the grilled beef which was seasoned well, accompanied with the usual subtle steamed egg, generous side salad etc.Others enjoyed their... More

This is a regular place that I go every month. Undeniably, food is constant and Sushis are quite fresh . Teppanyaki is good too although expect a long wait . If you are looking for good food, this is a place to recommend . However, if you are treating someone a meal, you might feel that this is not worth... More

Came here for lunch and had a teppanyaki lunch set. My friend got a sashimi lunch set. LOTS to eat!!! I couldn't finish my rice at the end. Though it's more on the expensive end for a restaurant in Causeway Bay (two people for lunch: HK$700), the food was fresh, delicious and nicely presented. Will come here again for lunch... More

Located in causewaybay area, it is a pretty authentic-chic Japanese restaurant with very pleasant staff and amazing food! We tried a little bit of everything and the quality of food was excellent :-) I need to thank my friends for this great discovery!

We had a very good meal here we wanted something special and we got it. We would have liked teppenyaki but it was booked out there was also a sushi bar but we opted for the general menu. Great tempura soba and other dishes, we lived in Japan for a while so feel well suited to judge. The sake and... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
