This chain of restaurants has several branches in Hong Kong, I happened to visit the branch at IFC... and I must say this was ne of the more memorable food experiences of Chinese food I had. An excellent roast chicken, great fresh crunchy and tasty vegetables, the roast duckling to die for and lovely roast pork. Quite outstanding, exquisite in taste. The... More

We had a good lunch of fried rice and several dimsum menu to fulfill our hungy stomach. The place is upscale with above average in service hence manners and dress code need to be taken into consideration.

I might be missing something here as the clientele was very much upmarket but the food just didn't do it for me. Visited this place on day one in Hong Kong but waited until day 5 to write review. Found the food too sweet and lacking in taste with an atmosphere to match. With so much choice out there I... More

TLDR: Twlight-zone-level service experience at a HK fine-dining establishment. Kitchen out-of-stock on every dish we wanted except 1. Food we ended up with was OK. To be fair, I ate at a Lei Garden several years ago and it was pretty and an enjoyable meal. But the best I could say about my recent experience was that it was very... More

It was not that spectacular really but I would write home about : the Crackling Pork and the Crispy Chicken. Both of which were very good indeed. Their home made XO sauce is also excellent. However the other dim sum were quite disappointing.

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
Central
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
