This restaurant I have never heard of it before I arrived to Hong Kong. It has been recommended by the hotel manager as I mentioned that I wanted to try something traditional and tasty food. The food there was simple but incredible tasty. I have never taste food like this before, it made me feel like a fusion between western... More

After walking around Central and Lan Kwai Fong, my wife and I headed to nearby Tsui Wah in Wellington Street for supper. Although the restaurant was packed at 10pm, we managed to find seats on the second floor. We ordered the assorted fish ball and fish cake rice noodles in fish broth. It was served temperature hot in a large... More

Disappointed was not the word to describe our lunchtime meal here! Furious would be more appropriate! Having been in HK for a few days now we have come to accept that the wait staff are generally disinterested but when one of the staff was apparently spoken to for getting another guest's order wrong, as she approached i requested another drink,... Good restaurant with a large selection of meals. There's various Asian dishes as well as some tasty Asian-Western fusions.

Unbelievably rude staff. Could have been interesting, not worth the effort! There way to many good places to go.

Tsui Wah is a restaurant chain operating in Hong Kong (as well as Macau). It's menu offers a mix of Western and Chinese sit down fast food. Whilst the menu has many Hong Kong Chinese dishes it also offers a broad range of western style dishes such as hot-dog, spaghetti and club sandwiches. So there is something for everyone. The... Going by the crowds entering here at a busy lunch time we had to see What all the fuss was about!! We joined the Que of locals and we're seated at a long bench table within ten minutes! Menu's were thrown at us and we haphazardly picked a few dishes to share. While the food was adequate it was the... More

There were several floors so we went in, the waiters/waitresses just asked us to go up, get a seat and order by then. We went all the way to the maybe 3rd or 4th floor and found a table. The environment was very busy, crowded with tourists didn't know what to do and had tonnes of questions but the busy... More

Food is amazing! Worth the trip! The establishment looks understaff however...so it was hard getting an order but as I said, food was worth the wait. The staff apologized profusely when she came and took our order AND when she delivered our order --- and I totally understand it's not their fault, it's the owners fault for being cheap.

This is a small restaurant chain and we thought it can be trusted to provide good food after shortly arriving in the area. The restaurant was busy as it is popular with both local people and tourists. There was a queue forming but as luck would have it and there were only the two of us, we were given a... More

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
