There were 8 of us, we split into 2 tables. As foreigners it tough when u do not speak or read the language. The waiters are not exactly patient. We had egg sandwich and the soya milk pudding I believe it's called. They were delicious. It was tea time so we didn't try the macaroni soup dish. Their iced tea... More

Would have given 5 stars if not for the service. Don't expect much service here as it's for you to eat and go. The food is top-notch though, and the best would be the scrambled eggs.

Very popular place for nice fresh rich milk pudding. Be prepared to share tables with others as the number of seats are limited. They serve breakfast as well. Bit pricy at HK 28/bowl

quick and cheap breakfast. It's an experience, especially for foreigners. Get their ham and mac special with taste. Their custard is what everyone comes here for.

We braved long queues to enter this popular venue and were seated in a tight corner while a hive of activity surrounded us. We ordered two steamed milk, one with egg and the other without. The original steamed milk had a layer of film hiding sweet, soft and milky custard. The yellow version delivered the flavor of egg followed by... More

My friend brought me there at 7.20 am, the shutter gate was half open but when I get thru' it was already packed with people. Sharing a table is a must. Highly efficient in ordering and serving. Get the breakfast set and opt for the scrambled eggs. Best to go with a local, do not think it is foreigner friendly... More

Prepare for queuing outside the restaurant to get the taste of their menu. Once inside, don't expect the server will greet you nicely. This is not a friendly restaurant, however they are very efficient since this is a very crowded and busy reataurant. The food was just okay for my taste.

dont be fooled by the queue outside/ busy people inside- the very well-trained, logistic expert waiters will find you seat and get your food in no time. despite the service, the food is still decent and fair, especially the hk-style scramble egg with amazing flavours and texture. their milk tea and iced coffee is not bad too, though since they... This place is excellent for breakfast. Try the French toast it's really good. This place is popular and there's a 15 minute wait to get in. The line waiting to get in suggests the food is good. It's the busiest restaurant I've seen in HK.

Till now i do not hear any negative comments for their two signature desserts. When people visit this shop they will also try the thick toast and scramble egg. Food is good but you have to prepare a long queue no matter day time or night time cause they are really famous and delicious and they have only one shop... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
