Having previously visited two different Nha Trang chain of restaurants in Central and TST (Harbour City). This time I opted to try the Shatin branch and it came with a slightly different feel, more open space with fewer pillars and walls. More like a food court kind of setting, although you still get your usual separate tables and chairs and not benches where you sit with other people in a row. I looked at the menu and it’s pretty much the same as before with many array of options including the usual typical Vietnamese foods i.e. pho noodle soup, curries, skewers, salads, spring rolls, rice rolls etc. The good thing about this menu is that it comes with both Chinese and English names with pictures depicting what the dish will look like including descriptions of what the dish is about. After looking through the menu I opted for the Cold Vermicelli with Grilled Beef, Tossed Chinese Kale with Sweet Dried Shrimps and Crushed Peanuts and for my drink an Avocado Smoothie. The Cold Vermicelli with Grilled Beef came and it had a decent amount of meat, lettuce on the side and with a large sprinkle of peanuts and shredded greens and carrots on top of the Vermicelli. The way I normally eat this is to put a lot of Nuoc cham which is basically a slightly sweet sour sauce made from garlic, sugar, lime juice, fish sauce and chillies, this sauce is quite watery in texture not thick at all and is not particularly fishy nor spicy. Having tucked into the beef it was warm, tender and flavoursome, I can hold it with chopsticks and tear it off with my mouth that was how easy it was to eat, no fat, no bones just great tasty meat. It paired well with the cold Vermicelli. So you can eat a bit of meat and Vermicelli at a time instead of separately. This dish provides a fabulous mix of flavours and best of all it’s healthy. The Chinese Kale with Sweet Dried Shrimps and Crushed Peanuts was ok. This vegetable always tastes the same only this time with dried peanuts and dried prawns which adds a bit of crunch and flavour. However you get plenty of that and plenty of vegetables in the Vermicelli dish. So I would recommend you not get this unless you really love vegetables. The avocado smoothie was thick and sweet. Exactly the same as the ones I would usually have when i’m in Vietnam. It’s made by blending avocado, ice and sweet condensed milk. If you love avocados and thick milkshakes and you're fed up of the usual chocolate, strawberry and vanilla options then give this a try. You won’t be disappointed, however if you hate avocados then I would suggest the ice cold Vietnamese coffee.

Always worth eating at Nha Trang, good quality and the wait is never long . First time at this location and we had trouble finding it as most food shops are on ground level where nhatrang is located on level 7

We've enjoyed a meal or two here as we were looking for something a bit different from the usual. Enjoyed the flavours and their service is quite good too.

Went for a late lunch so had the tea set. It is good value and it was really tasty. The service was fast and friendly. I had the grilled pork neck with cucumber salad. There was plenty of pork and it was very soft. For main, I had the Pho Tai. It was very tasty. To drink I had the soda with pickled lemon. It is an acquired taste but nice and refreshing. Well worth a try. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

The Sha Tin branch of Nha Tang is located within New Town Plaza, which is directly connected to the MTR Sha Tin station. This is a very popular and busy restaurant located on the 7th floor. After taking the express elevator to the 7th floor, I walked in around 3:45pm on a Sunday, and was able to be seated right away, although I was told that last order was at 4:15pm, since they are closed between 4:45PM and 5:45PM on Sundays. It took about 5 minutes from the time I ordered until the food started arriving, all at once. The kitchen is very efficient here as many others have noted. The Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls were deep fried, but not greasy, and flavorful. The Hanoi Fish Cakes were pretty good, but a bit bland. The grilled beef and cucumber salad was a large portion with plenty of sliced beef, although the beef was slightly on the chewy side, but still flavorful. I was asked if I wanted this dish spicy, and even after saying yes, I did not find it spicy at all (at least for my taste, but that's not unusual for those of us who like to cry while eating our meal). The highlight of this early dinner was the Hanoi Tomato and Crab Noodle Soup (Bun Rieu). The balance between a rich tasty broth with the right amount of noodles, with chunks of tomato and a good amount of crab was very comparable to some of the best I had in Hanoi. Lime and Chili condiments were served without asking, as well as a generous basket of herbs, lettuce, and sliced cucumber. The Fresh Lime Soda was refreshing, but a bit too sweet for me, and was mostly soda with not enough lime juice. The food is a bit expensive (the dishes above averaged out to about HK$85 each, including the 10% service charge), but reasonable considering the large portions. I did find it a bit strange that the bill came within minutes of receiving the food, and payment was expected right away. Not sure if this had to do with the mid-day one hour closing or not. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food in Hong Kong, some of the dishes at Nha Trang come very close, and I have no doubt I will be back for more.

Fantastic authentic Vietnamese meal. We had a big lunch and nearly every dishes that we ordered were amazing. Salad was fresh and other main courses especially seafoods are delicious. Rolls are fresh as well.

Ate here before. This time the quality is better than before. Except the rice, all the dishes ordered were good in quality. Today is Easter holiday, still no need waiting for a long time before entering the restaurant. But it's very noisy.

We've been visiting Nha Trang Shatin on the 3rd day of CNY for three consecutive years. It is always full of people and you're always requested to finish your meal within an hour. Sounds pushy, doesn't it? However, you'll be surprised by their efficiency. Your order will come fast, without diminishing the food quality. My steamed rice vermicelli cake was even served with a hot plate. Caring, isn't it? Food is still delicious as it was and I highly recommend 'Hanoi Fish Cake'.

Whenever I travel from Europe to Hong Kong I visit Nha Trang at least once every trip. The food is deliciously prepared, tastes great. My favorites are the soups and the sateh. Really dishes to look forward to. Nha Trang is located in New Town Plaza, 7th floor, and in the Passenger Terminal, TST

Visited during lunch on Saturday, be prepared to queue with their ticketing service at this popular restaurant as they don't take bookings. Delicious tasty meal was served, the spring rolls were stuffed proportionately and a generous basket of herbs provided. I had the cold vermicelli bowl with lemongrass beef which was presented nicely with many ingredients & tasted delicious with beef warm & tender & not gristly, my friend had the popular beef pho and wasnt disappointed. I have also visited their branch at Taikoo but this one at Shatin offers even better quality & taste, the portions are generous, and good value. Service was good, staff attentive. Yes would visit again if I am in the area.

We visited Nha Trang for a late lunch. They have a set menu consisting of a starter, a main and a drink all for $99. The food is wonderful and it's great value. The same dishes ordered off the a la carte menu at night will cost at least 50% more. For a late lunch I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Each we return to Hong Kong, we always make it a point to have at least a meal here as it serves good authentic Vietnamese cuisine! The pho with beef or chicken taste great and are a hit with the kids. The rice rolls with soft shell crab or fish are very nice too. I also like the Hanoi fish cakes and steamed vermicelli rice roll a lot. 👍🏼

This excellent Vietnamese restaurant lies on the 7/F of New Town Plaza Shatin. It is very busy throughout the day and some waiting may be rquired to get a table. Advance reservations are not accepted. The menu contains a wide variety of traditional vietnamese dishes, all of which are prepared to a high standard and represent some of the best of vietnam local style cooking in Hong Kong. Try the various Pho noodle soups and fried or cold spring rolls served with a basket of fresh herbs. Service is friendly, fast and efficient. Prices are reasonable for quality on offer.
