Dependable pub grub. No frills. Good value: HK$58 for curry, chips and a coke (lunch). Friendly service.

I dropped in for a drink, stayed for a couple but didn't try the food. Nice atmosphere, lively but not too loud crowd, and good service.

Good atmosphere if you want to watch UK sports especially football. Otherwise sketchy area, with undesirable people wandering in as they pleased, didn't feel very safe.

Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of
Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and
restaurants, both areas are bustling with people –
tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the
highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more
polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart.

I feel your pain on the Renaissance btw. I get a crew discount and still don't eat there. For sheer efficiency, there is a McDucks right on the walkway level as you go down the stairs from the Renaissance to Lockhart, but... More
