Looked nice on arrival. After discussion with waiter about if we would be able to eat the whole duck two course meal between two of us Then based on his advice we decided to go for it. What a disappointment. The starter was just the not so crispy duck skin with pancakes with spring onion and cucumber. The main course... More

Have been coming here for years both the MP and PP depending on if coming from work or home. Sizzling beef, egg with fish, fish in chinese wine, rice cakes, dim sum, it's all delicious and excellent quality. Staff are great and its actually reasonably priced when you consider the quality. Looking forward to my next visit, highly recommended.

Yè Shanghai in the Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel is not the most obvious destination for dim sum but for years they've been serving the most consistent, authentic, delicate and tasty dim sum in Hong Kong. Service is polite and knowledgeable whilst the decoration and ambience of the restaurant is unpretentious and classy. This is the place to go for... More

When we visit Hong Kong with my dad, we always make sure that we save a night for a dinner in Ye-Shangai. The food is always so good, the quality is always good no matter how many years later after you visit there again. Our fav is a fish dish with a sweet sauce. I also attached a pic. Make... More

Talk about disappointed. We had heard so many great things about Ye Shanghai , how could they all be wrong??! Well they were! Housed in the Marco Polo hotel in TST, we should have realised this is a real TOURISTY restaurant and the food reflects this. We started with the sauteed Mandarin fish which was lovely and by far the... More

Great, delicious food with good variety and of excellent quality. Very nice cocktails. Pleasant decoration and feel to the place. Service professional but not particularly attentive considering the up market feel to the place.

My wife and I visited this restaurant on the basis of a local recommendation and because it apparently has a Michelin Star. My wife has severe food allergies and these were explained to our server!in English, and in Cantonese by our local friend. We were assured all the food we had ordered had no allergens. Yet, 3 hours later, my... More

It was pretty decent lunch dim sum. Michellin star which means that our expectations were high. Pork bun and shanghai fried dumpling?, I forgot the name but refer to my pics, were amazing. I wish the staff memebers smile a bit more but anyway overall good service and food

Very nice decor let down by the service a little. We booked a table for 1230 and arrived on-time - despite half the restaurant being empty we were kept hanging around for 10 minutes before being seated. Ordered tea and had to remind them twice to bring, table seated after us received theirs ahead of us. No complaints about the... More
