Avoid the long Q at Australian Diary in Kowloon. Over in Hong Kong island head to Capitol Cafe and you get the same kind of local breakfast with something extra. Its light and fluffy scramble eggs topped with black truflles!!! Its so delicious and you don't have to pay high prices for truffle here. If you want something heavier for... More

We dined in the 華星冰室 which was its main branch located in the hustle and bustle district of Wan Chai. We ordered the 常餐 which includes cha-siu macaroni, scrambled egg, buttered bread and a drink. We also ordered the 重口味 noodles which was in tomato sauce, a healthy choice for light meals. The food provided was of high quality and... More

My breakfast trip here was way better than my experience in Australia Dairy Company. Less queue, better Service and better tasting noodle soup. We ordered breakfast set of toast/eggs/noodle soup. Love the toast! I also ordered french toast and it was not bad. It's not the typical western french toast, this was simpler, eggy batter. I had it with lots... More

Was recommended to eat here by a friend and I'm happy that we went to check it out. There was a short line outside, but it didn't take long to be seated. In Hong Kong it is perfectly normal to share tables with strangers. I guess it's more efficient. We ordered french toast, scrambled eggs on toast and kaya toast.... More

We went there on a Sunday late morning and the q was short. Just 5 minutes and we were let in. Ordered the black truffle scramble egg with toast and milk tea. The quality is ok but not great. If the q is long, it may not be worth the wait. Honolulu Cafe further down Hennessy Road can be another... More

Pork chop bun and truffle scramble eggs are awesome and highly recommended. Both items are not part of the breakfast set menu and are ordered alacarte. Cafe is pretty small, expect to share tables. Service staff are very busy. You need to get their attention to place orders.

Service 4/5 - contrary to popular beliefs that Hong Kong Eateries having bad service. This Eatery service wasn't bad, the waiters didn't seem annoyed and was still smiling despite some problems in ordering our food. Food 3.5/5 - The scramble Eggs (black truffle) was made to perfecting with it being soft and runny on the inside while being firm enough... More

I had an amazing macaroni with char siew and ice milk tea. Could not resist and went back for their scrambled egg and toast breakfast set. Simple food, yet out of this world. Love it!

If you're in the area looking for a quick bite, can't go wrong here. Scrambled eggs on toast was awesome, as was the iced milk tea. I shared a table to get seated quicker which is super common, recommended.

We decided to stop by here for brunch as we read the good reviews. I had their red bean drink which I liked it very much as there were a lot of red beans and the milk is smooth and milky. The drink ain't too sweet and not too much ice. I also had their pork bun which I find... More

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
