Been here many times in my past visits to HK. It used to be the best street food on Temple St but sadly it has been ruined by it's own popularity. The portions are now half the size as they used to be and the tables sprawl wide and far into Temple St, far too many for the staff and... More

The authentic Hong Kong experience. It is not fancy, it is not very delicious, but it is one of things you will probably remember for the rest of your live. It is the real Hong Kong experience. Just go and do it.

If you want to eat some simple, fresh (literally buckets with live sea food) authentic food then make sure you visit here, the clams with black bean and chilli were very popular and my personal favourite.

This is exactly what you would expect for Temple Street Market food. It is packed and mental but shouldn't be missed. Our food was absolutely delicious and it is right on the market so a perfect location. This is what street food in Hong Kong should be.

We ordered garlic prawns and fried oyster on our first night dinner at this establishment. They're really yummy!!! On our second night, we ordered the Spicy Fried Jumbo Sea Mantis @ HK$160/4pcs and their Singaporean noodles. The jumbo word is kinda exaggerated as the size is just right and even much smaller than what you can buy from Dampa seafood... More

This place is awesome! It's real street food, because the restaurant is literally in the street. The food is great, atmosphere is unbeatable. It's not classy or fancy, but the food is sensational and fresh! I've eaten there many times, and wouldn't hesitate to eat there again.

Great experience and food was good beer was good all cheap as well. Service was good as well. Great location. Don't understand others complaining. If you want first class service then pay more. What do you expect with a toilet roll as serviettes. I would recommend it don't be put off.

This place was good, but is poor now. Food quality has slipped, plus I felt that they didn't want me there in a wheelchair. Ordered duck, told there was none, so we wanted to pay for drink and leave. They then turned up with noodle dish and said they now had duck. Table service was poor, and waitresses seem lazy... More

Selected this restaurant after a walk down the 'tacky' Temple Street market because it was full. The service was prompt, the food was very good and the cost was very moderate compared with many more formal eating choices in HK. This is a good choice if you want to try street food and do not mind plastic stool seating and... More

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
