We chose this restaurant based on a recommendation. We walked past the other branch in Kowloon and have to say that it didn't look anything like as plush or ambient as the Wan Chai location. The place was a little dark, it was hard to see the menu but the service and food were excellent. We all went for the... More

Was my second time at a Wooloomooloo, and was great again. Good steaks, also good sides and friendly service. It's not a cheap place but still ok for the quality. After the Dinner we had some drinks at the rooftop bar. Great view, nice music and good drink. A really good place to finish a perfect day.

The rooftop bar served fantastic cocktails overlooking Wan Chai and the Harbor. Heat lamps for the chillier nights, but no food. The views and cocktails were some of the best in Hong Kong. Dinner service at the restaurant below was excellent, cuisine taste quality was about a 4 out of 5 with similar views. Excellent ambiance throughout the evening.

Wooloomooloo has a good rep for good steak in HK. The place has a great setting overlooking the city, as well as a top floor bar. We were a group of 5 and ordered entrees as well as steak for all. Coming from Sydney, I decided to try the USDA prime striploin. The main courses were surprisingly slow to come,... More

A spectacular view from the rooftop with a chilled beer in hand and wind gushing from the north at 14 degrees temp... Well, that's wat I felt at wooloomooloo sitting with my wife on our honeymoon enjoying the almost "birds-eye" view of the city and harbour. Good friendly staff, although they're usually busy and take time to comeback to your... More

On a weekend trip with friends, we heard of Wooloomooloo from friends and decided to go. Arriving at 6, we had some drinks on the roof top, which was quiet. After a few more drinks it was busier at around 9 and the lounge music and atmosphere was pretty good. The cocktail list is ok, nothing special but passable. We... More

OK so come here for a good steak in a relaxed room. It is not the best HK has but it delivers really good food for a good price. Some other steak places are over priced you windup paying for perception rather than deliciousness.

Its a place to impress if you have guests coming in from overseas. Wooloomooloo Rooftop Bar has a great view to the city lights and skyline. They have a good drink list. The drinks are good and the servers were patient and helpful. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. If you are ever near Wan Chai, go visit Wooloomooloo !

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
