Visited twice October 2016. The set lunch is very reasonable and very good. Happy hour prices in the afternoon are also very reasonable. The prices for the tapas in the evening appeared to be quite expensive, by comparison. Perhaps this is to be expected in Hong Kong. Service excellent.

We were in Hong Kong for a stopover with nothing plan as to where to eat, and walked into Cicada based on menu options and lunch specials. We were blown away by the quality of the food! Portions were ample, more than expected for "sharing plates". We had rich curry &roti, pumpkin, lentil and spinach curry with jasmine rice and... More

We had planned to eat at a more well known place in Soho but that had a wait of an hour or more. Which was lucky or we wouldn't have found Cicada. Amazing food, lots of small plates, great combo of Asian with plenty of spicy dishes. Affordable cocktails, that doesn't mean nasty, it means good and you can afford... More

We visited this restaurant on Oct 27, 2016, after reading good reviews on Tripadvisor. It is run by the Enotica group, which includes Enoteca, the Parish, Iberico & Co, and the Phoenix. It was relocated from Shelly St next to the escalator, and is now next door to Enoteca, which makes it extremely convenient as you can order from menus... More

We used to love this restaurant when it was on the Escalator and it was a pleasure to see it reopened on Elgin. We have used it twice in the passed couple of weeks for lunch using set menu. There is always a good and varied choice of dishes and the price includes unlimited fruit tea which is very refreshing.... More

We took 5 dishes for two; vegetable rolls, tuna, duck dumplings, tofu cakes and fresh mango sushi with caramel dip. It was amazing! Each better than before! And dessert crowned our meal! Really friendly place with reasonable prices. I really can recommend this place! 5 dishes and two beers; 551 HKD

The food here was just mouth watering. Glad I came here with my family so we had the excuse to order lots, try a little each and then order more of what we liked or try something new. Not disappointed by any of the dishes and the cocktail list is great and reasonably priced. Just be careful how many dishes... More

Love this new addition to restaurants on Elgin Street. It has a cool street food vibe and much attention was paid to the interior. We had a few very good dishes (Vietnamese Spring Rolls and Veggie Dumplings) and some were just ok (crab cakes) but surely that is put to the individual tastebuds. The portions were bigger than expected. Service... More

Cicada has a great happy hour and you can enjoy $35 HKD cocktails from 3.30pm until 7.30pm. I always arrive at 6pm to take full advantage and start to order food when it's finishing. The Tapas are a selection of Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian / Asian Fusion and are all delicious. It's a shame they took the coconut chicken skewers... More

Thanks so much for your comments and i really appreciate your feedback on the Peking duck pancakes. Let me check into that as they have been great. I'll aslo talk to chef about the Coconut skewers too. We actually had to drop around 20% of the old menu as the new kitchen is smaller, but we do rotate items though... More

If you are looking for a fresh, wonderful, dining experience try this restaurant! We stopped in for lunch and sampled many Asian tapas; So many choices and all of them were fresh, spicy and delicious. Green papaya salad, crispy eggplant, tingling szehaun chicken, hoisin ribs, curry and roti. The staff and chef were all very friendly too. We wished they... More
