We saw locals eating there and decided to try it. Food was really good considering it was a few plastic tables and chairs by the road side. Food fresh cooked and hot, full of taste. Service was good and nice experience to eat in the market.

Its a big place at Night Market near road. Its shouty place Menu is simple like in India but food is fine Tried chicken fried rice - its okaywith a lot of chicken. But they put every part of chicken in rice) not like you always want - just meat)

A great little place in the middle of Temple Street night market. As others have said, at first glance it looks nothing special - laminated chipboard tables with plastic bowls and chopsticks and a menu with pictures (often a dodgey sign in my experience), but what attracted us was that it was buzzing (always a good sign!). Wipe away those... More

This place is in the middle of the night market. It doesn't look much as plastic stools, plates and chop sticks. Don't be put off or scared of trying this, the food was amazing. We ordered a starter to share, a noodle dish and a sweet and sour chicken. It is not mind like a Western restaurant. They just bring... More

This is the second time my family and I have eat here on our recent trip to Hong Kong! A must to eat is the Singapore noddles dish and the special fried rice with scrimp! The service is very quick and the beer is cold. I would recommend eating here to any traveller!

This is the place to eat in the market. We've been eating here for 10 years. Never an issue. The Salt and pepper squid soy sauce noodles and garlic chilli prawns are fantastic.

this place is popular and the food is very good. The price was ridiculous at the end...but we enjoyed the food. Just be sure to bring plenty of cash if you're going to eat here.

Don't let the over enthusiastic waitresses trying to get you to sit for food while you walk through the markets put you off. It doesn't look the best of places and you may even be quite sceptical, we certainly were at first. However, we had been told that you must eat some 'street food' while your in the city so... More

Tourist Cantonese food but it is really good food. It's not the cheapest but the food is really good and a beer is a reasonable price. Definitely worth visiting

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
